Abstract:

A method of dieting includes the steps of reducing the secretion of insulin in the metabolic system of body, reducing the carbohydrate from meals, reducing the size of meals, and reducing the sense of hunger and the craving for food. The step of reducing the secretion of insulin includes the step of having protein-intensified meals. The step of reducing the carbohydrate from meals includes the steps of having leafy vegetables and excluding fruits from meals. The step of reducing the size of meals includes the steps of breaking a given meal into multiple servings and having the servings with predetermined interval. The step of reducing the sense of hunger and the craving for food includes the steps of drinking enough water, excluding spicy foods from meals, and prohibiting exercise. In the final steps, the method of dieting further includes the steps of having balanced meals and excising regularly.

Abstract:

A fountain humidifier and air cleanser for providing moisture to surrounding air. The fountain humidifier and air cleanser includes a base including a skirt extending therefrom forming a reservoir for retaining a fluid therein and a hollow structure including a recess in a top side thereof and an open base side having an irregularly shaped edge. The hollow structure is removably positioned within the reservoir whereby fluid within the reservoir is able to flow into the structure through spaces present between the base side and reservoir due to the irregularly shaped edge. A pump is positioned within the hollow structure and a diverter is connected to the pump. The diverter extends through the recess in the top side of the hollow structure, wherein the pump pumps fluid within the reservoir against the diverter causing the fluid to form a dome shaped flow through the recess and back into the reservoir. The fluid flowing through the recess and along the side of the diverter is at least partially absorbed by the surrounding air thereby humidifying the surrounding air. The diverter includes a cap portion having a planar underside and a curved columnar shaft extending from the underside of the cap, wherein fluid from the pump is directed along the curved columnar shaft and planar underside to form the dome shaped flow.

Abstract:

A system and method for removable or semi-permanent installation of a transparent organic lighting diode (TOLED) display with transparency control are disclosed. In one embodiment, the system includes a TOLED display that includes a TOLED panel with a front side and a back side, a cover glass or a touch sensor coupled to the front side of the TOLED panel, and a transparency control medium coupled to the back side of the TOLED panel to provide transparency control of the TOLED panel, wherein the transparency control medium is an electrochromic (EC) glass, a Suspended Particle Device (SPD) film, or a Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLC) film. The system further includes a versatile hinge assembly coupled to the TOLED display to enable the TOLED display to be used in a table top or desktop configuration or to be mounted to a support structure.

Abstract:

An airway device includes an outertube and a scope channel partially enclosed by the outertube. An intraluminal space in the outertube, not occupied by the scope channel, provides a passageway for air flow to the patient. An esophageal cuff is disposed distally on the scope channel. When inflated, the esophageal cuff secures the airway device in the proximal esophagus of the patient and helps to prevent gastric reflux by mechanically blocking gastric content from entering into the larynx. An inflatable bladder is attached at an anterior surface of the scope channel between the esophageal cuff and a distal opening of the outertube. When inflated, the bladder forms a tubular ring that pushes against the epiglottis and/or other soft tissue towards a wall of the hypopharynx to produce an unhindered air passage into the patient's trachea.
