Abstract:
A magnetically controllable, or guided, ferrocarbon particle composition and methods of use and production are disclosed. The composition may optionally carry biologically active substances that have been adsorbed onto the particle. The composition comprises composite, volume-compounded particles of 0. 1 to 5. 0 m in size, and preferably between 0. 5 and 5. 0 m, containing 1. 0 to 95. 0% by mass of carbon, and preferably from about 20% to about 60%. The particles may be produced by mechanical milling of a mixture of iron and carbon powders. The obtained particles are optionally placed in a solution of a biologically active substance to adsorb the substance onto the particles. The composition is generally administered in suspension.

US Classification:

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for measuring characteristics of a piece of material, typically semiconductor materials including photovoltaic devices. The characteristics may include dislocation defect density, grain boundaries, reflectance, external LBIC, internal LBIC, and minority carrier diffusion length. The apparatus includes a light source, an integrating sphere, and a detector communicating with a computer. The measurement or calculation of the characteristics is calibrated to provide accurate, absolute values. The calibration is performed by substituting a standard sample for the piece of material, the sample having a known quantity of one or more of the relevant characteristics. The quantity measured by the system of the relevant characteristic is compared to the known quantity and a calibration constant is created thereby.
Methods Of Treating Tumors With Compositions Of Catecholic Butanes

Abstract:
The invention relates to methods useful in the treatment of benign, premalignant and malignant solid tumors, especially those of the skin comprising methods for the administration of pharmacologically active compositions containing catecholic butanes. The invention also relates to methods of preventing the occurrence of tumors, and the use of catecholic butanes as a sunscreening agent. The preferred catecholic butane is nordihydroguaiaretic acid. The preferred methods of application of the compositions containing catecholic butanes are by topical application and intratumor injection.

Will Cowboys maintain their O-line draft success with Tyler Guyton, Cooper Beebe?
Zack Martin and Tyler Smith were all first-round picks who made a Pro Bowl. The Cowboys view Tyron Smith and Martin as certain Hall of Famers. They have compared Tyler Smith to another Hall of Famer, Larry Allen. Health led to an early retirement for Frederick, but he was a multiple-time Pro Bowler.

Stephen Jones: I don't see Dez Bryant's 'Garrett guys'
I certainly respect anybody that has a comment about the organization. You certainly always see things when it's difficult for a player to take the next step. Whether it's a Larry Allen, Demarcus Ware, an Emmitt Smith, all Hall of Famers who ended up playing with another team. Those things are hard.

The contract numbers Cowboys' DeMarcus Lawrence will command in free agency
I would argue that the '93 and '94 teams were just as talented and maybe even better because the young guys had more experience, and guys like Darren Woodson were taking on bigger roles (he was just a rookie in 1992). Larry Allen didn't arrive until 1994, and Deion arrived in 1995. So you could arg
