A boat protective extension platform apparatus for use in connection with watercraft lifting platforms is provided. The extension platform is preferably attached to the stern of a boat and serves to at least partially cover a gap created between the boat and the lifting platform when the lifting platform is in a lowered position. The extension platform can include a retractable screen that is removably attachable to the lifting platform such than when said screen is extended, the aforementioned gap is further covered, thus preventing items carried by passengers and crew from falling or rolling into said gap and being lost or damaged.

Abstract:
A sound abatement system and method providing for rapid assembly of stacked acoustic suppression walls is disclosed. The system incorporates vertical support members (VSM) and/or vertical I-beams (VIB) driven into the ground that support an acoustic suppression panel (ACP) array by virtue of diagonal fastening cables (DFC). The DFC in one preferred embodiment utilizes a combination of threaded J-hooks, cable loops, and angle iron to fix the ACP to the VSM/VIB by frictional contact. This system permits rapid installation of the ACPs once the VSM/VIBs are vertically positioned around the perimeter of a job site, and allow the installation of sound containment walls that are capable of withstanding severe wind and weather conditions as are commonly encountered in the oil and gas drilling industry.

Abstract:
An easily assembled and transportable containment system. One or more deformable foam support beams are placed end-to-end to form a containment perimeter. A first protective strip is formed on the underside of at least a portion of the length of each support beam, said protective strips extending inwardly towards the center of the containment system and providing added protection from damage that may be caused due to foot or vehicle traffic. A second protective strip rests on top of the first protective strip and adds even additional protection against damage. A containment basin comprising a floor surrounded by side walls serves to contain discharged chemicals and other potential contaminants until such time as clean-up operations may be completed. The containment basin is removably secured to the support beams via hook and loop fasteners attached to the top sides of the support beams and the top portions of the side walls.
