Abstract:

A putter () having a club head () having a central aperture () with a rearward center of gravity is disclosed herein. The club head () has a body () that is preferably composed of stainless steel. The body () has a face portion (), a crown portion (), a sole portion () and an aft-mass portion (). The face portion (), the crown portion (), the sole portion () and the aft-mass portion () define the central aperture (). The crown portion () extends rearward from the face portion () over the aft-mass portion (). The central aperture () separates the crown portion () from the sole portion () and the face portion () from the aft-mass portion (). The crown portion () has an alignment means () thereon for aiming a golf ball during putting. The putter has novel inertial properties.
