Abstract:

A computer system receives registration information from a service provider registering web services with the dynamic web service configuration store. The registration information indicates a mapping of which web service components are to be used with corresponding user requests. The computer system receives a request from a user requesting a portion of web service functionality and provides the web service functionality using the web service component indicated in the mapping. The computer system receives an indication from the service provider that various web service components are to be updated, where the indication includes updated web service component portions. The computer system also dynamically updates the web service component, so that subsequent user requests for the same portion of web service functionality are processed using the updated web service component.

Abstract:

In one embodiment, a computer system receives registration information for available services provided by a service provider. The registration information includes information identifying functionality provided by the available services, and the registration information is used to register the available services with the intermediary service. The computer system receives a service request from a client computer system identifying a function that is to be performed by at least one of the available services registered at the intermediary service. The computer system determines which of the registered available services is configured to provide the functionality requested by the client and processes the received service request using various system functionality components, so that the service request is configured for service-specific processing provided by a registered available service. The computer system also sends the processed service request to the registered service determined to be configured to provide the functionality requested by the client.

Abstract:

A system is provided for controlling initialization of an online advertising campaign. The system includes a sensor configured to determine current performance of the online advertising campaign and a memory for storing performance information obtained by the sensor, a set of campaign initialization controller instructions, a campaign volume model, and a network average time-of-day pattern. The system also includes an estimator configured to predict future campaign performance based on the performance information obtained by the sensor, the campaign volume model, and the network average time-of-day pattern. The system also includes an initialization controller configured to generate a bid allocation control signal and generate a bid price control signal based on the future campaign performance predicted by the estimator, according to the instructions stored in the memory. A method for controlling initialization of an online advertising campaign is also provided.

Verifying a translation middleware piece. A first request is provided to a front end user service using a protocol appropriate for the front end user service, including a translation middleware piece. The translation middleware piece translates requests provided to the front end service to requests for back-end data stores. A first response to the first request to the front end user service is received. A second request is provided to a back-end data store. Abstract:

System and methods are provided for analyzing and displaying digital content and advertisements over electronic networks. In accordance with one implementation, a method is provided that calculates, using at least one processor, an engagement metric (including, for example, click probability) for a specific combination of time, promotion slot, and user segment, for an individual promotion of a set of promotions, and calculates a value of a landing page associated with the promotion. The method then can multiply the engagement metric and the value to determine the valuation of the promotion. The method can operate recursively by using previous calculations in later runs of the same method.

Example aspects include techniques for accurate and expeditious cloud service health communication to customers. These techniques may include determining that a service health incident has customer impact, the service health incident corresponding to an outage of one or more services of a cloud computing platform, identifying a plurality of customers impacted by the service health incident, and predicting, based on the service health incident and one or more other service health incidents, aggregated incident information identifying a plurality of service health incidents associated with the outage of the one or more services. Abstract:

To reduce the effect(s) caused by patient breathing and movement during PET data acquisition, an unsupervised non-rigid image registration framework using deep learning is used to produce motion vectors for motion correction. In one embodiment, a differentiable spatial transformer layer is used to warp the moving image to the fixed image and use a stacked structure for deformation field refinement. Estimated deformation fields can be incorporated into an iterative image reconstruction process to perform motion compensated PET image reconstruction. The described method and system, using simulation and clinical data, provide reduced error compared to at least one iterative image registration process.
