Abstract:
A fastening structure for an antenna module assembly is disclosed. The fastening structure for an assembly includes a cover, a gasket inner seal, a circuit board including at least one antenna element, and a base. The gasket inner seal is placed over the circuit board. The gasket inner seal and circuit board are intermediately located between the cover and the base. The base includes a plurality of beveled snap-tab receiving portions integrally located about a base perimeter. The beveled snap-tab receiving portions engage an inner perimeter of the cover defined by flexible snap-tabs to fasten and matingly secure the cover to the base.

Abstract:
An antenna structure and assembly is disclosed. The antenna structure includes a case that provides a capacitive coupling between a ground plane and a circuit board assembly that includes a low noise amplifier and satellite antenna. The case includes a metal impregnated thermoplastic resin. The ground plane may include at least one resilient fastener receiving portion that permits passage and frictional retention of at least one integrated fastening portion extending from the case. The antenna structure includes a cover portion placed over and ultrasonically welded to the case for encapsulating the circuit board assembly. A method for manufacturing the antenna structure is also disclosed.

Abstract:
An antenna system includes a detachable assembly including a circuit board that is connected to a cover by a resilient member. A bezel is adhesively attached to the glass of a vehicle having conductive antenna elements on the vehicle glass. The bezel includes guide surfaces and locating surfaces that accurately position the circuit board and antenna feed wire relative to the vehicle glass. The cover and circuit board can be detached from the bezel for servicing of the circuit board, and the guide and locating surfaces of the bezel provide for accurate positioning of a replacement detachable upper assembly during servicing/repair of the antenna system.
Fastening And Connection Apparatus For A Panel-Mounted Vehicle Antenna Module

Assignee:
Delphi Technologies, Inc. - Troy MI
International Classification:
H01Q 1/32
US Classification:

Abstract:
A panel-mounted vehicle antenna module includes exterior and interior components that are joined in a single operation to simultaneously achieve both mechanical fastening of the module and through-the-panel electrical connections of the antenna. The exterior and interior components are equipped with electrical connector terminals that are coupled when the exterior and interior components are joined, and alignment features that ensure accurate alignment of the connector terminals. The exterior component is temporarily retained against the panel, the interior component is temporarily attached to the exterior component, and a bolt is driven from the interior component into the exterior component to complete the mechanical attachment and electrical connections. Electrical cables hard-wired to the interior component are connected to the vehicle wiring harness to complete the installation.

Abstract:
A method of determining the purity of oxygen present in an oxygen-enriched gas produced from an oxygen delivery system is disclosed. The oxygen delivery system includes at least one sieve bed having a nitrogen-adsorbing material disposed therein and configured to adsorb nitrogen from a feed gas introduced into the at least two sieve beds via a pressure-swing adsorption cycle. The method includes determining a quantity of nitrogen adsorbed by the nitrogen-adsorbing material by inferring an effective volume of the at least one sieve bed based on a pressure change of the at least one sieve bed.
Peristaltic Pump Assembly With Cassette And Mounting Pin Arrangement
A peristaltic pump assembly includes a pump body including a mounting pin coupled thereto. A removable cassette is slidably received on the mounting pin and is secured to the pump body via a retaining feature. The mounting pin is also configured to allow the removable cassette to rotate into and/or out of an installed position, or to position(s) therebetween.
A removable cassette for a peristaltic pump includes a cassette body and an occluder disposed at least partially in the cassette body and configured to be movable between an occluding position and a non-occluding position. The occluder includes an occluder body and an anti-ejection member integrally formed on the occluder body. The anti-ejection member is configured to substantially prevent the removal of the cassette from the peristaltic pump when the occluder is in the non-occluding position.

In an article for Forbes in 2011, aerospace and defense writer Loren Thompson voiced concerns about NASA becoming overly dependent on the still-young SpaceX and also wrote that "Musk's enthusiasm is infectious and inspiring, but SpaceX's performance to date doesn't measure up to the rhetoric."
In an op-ed titled, "Rethinking Radar Plane Recap: Will The Air Force Let Down The Army Again?," Forbes columnist Loren Thompson last year wrote divesting JSTARS would leave the Army -- which relies on the plane's real-time reconnaissance -- high and dry and directly in harm's way on the battlefield
ut while some arms control advocates are characterizing the policy as a significant shift in U.S. nuclear strategy, others such as the Lexington Institutes's Loren Thompson, who once taught nuclear strategy at Georgetown University, argue its not all that different from the Obama nuclear doctrine.
