About:

I've been a resident of Citrus Heights for 35 years, being a "Southern CA" transplant. I've seen the area grow up, along with my four children. I started in Real Estate, in 1989, and went to work full time, the beginning of 1990, just in time to see a similiar real estate market as we have today. Back then, it was due to lay-offs of Aerojet, and 3 Base closures, that all hit almost at once. First time I ever heard of a "Short Sale"-- which were pretty new at the time, but nothing like it is now. Today, Forclosed and Short Sale properties pretty much dominate the current market. There are fabulous deals out there, and a lot of Investors are taking advantage of them. It's also a great time for First time Home buyers, as prices are the lowest I've seen in 20 years. And the interest rates running between 4.25-4.50% is at all time lows, making homeownership very affordable. There are Ecology loan programs to "Green-up" your home, Energy saver loans to update, older homes, and Loans that will "Fix-up" a home, that has been distressed and vacant for months. There are loans out there that will address every type of situation with purchasing a home in today's market. I continue to take ongoing courses, and classes, as real estate is changing every day, and if you don't keep on top of it, you'll be left behind. I belong to several different Master Mind groups, that face the challanges of todays real estate market, and we all learn from one another.
