Abstract:

A method and system for generating and tracking dynamic advertisements within a program, such as a video game, running on a portable computing device (PCD) are described. The method and system include receiving a call from the program for a texture and reviewing an identifier associated with the texture. A graphics driver determines if the identifier associated with the texture matches an identifier in a texture database. The graphics driver then selects a dynamic advertisement from a texture database if the identifier associated with the texture matches the identifier in the texture database. The graphics driver issues commands to the graphics processor so that dynamic advertisement is presented on a screen display. The graphics driver then determines if a video object produced by the program blocks a portion of the dynamic advertisement present on the screen display.

Abstract:

Abstract:

A wavelength meter having a single mode fiber optics input is disclosed. The single mode fiber enables a plurality of laser beams to be multiplexed to form a multiplexed input to the wavelength meter. The wavelength meter can provide a determination of the wavelength of any one or all of the plurality of laser beams by suitable processing. Another aspect of the present invention is that one of the laser beams could be a known reference laser having a predetermined wavelength. Hence, the improved wavelength meter can provide an on-line calibration capability with the reference laser input as one of the plurality of laser beams.

Abstract:

A recessed sputtering target assembly is provided with a bonding material disposed between a dielectric target and a backing plate. The bond line of the bonding material is recessed away from the edges of the target and backing plate, preferably by 1/4 inch. The sputtering target assembly may be used during high RF power processes to achieve high deposition rates without arcing of the bonding material or contamination of the sputtering chamber.

Abstract:

A self-referencing Mach-Zehnder interferometer for accurately measuring laser wavefronts over a broad wavelength range (for example, 600 nm to 900 nm). The apparatus directs a reference portion of an input beam to a reference arm and a measurement portion of the input beam to a measurement arm, recombines the output beams from the reference and measurement arms, and registers the resulting interference pattern ("first" interferogram) at a first detector. Optionally, subportions of the measurement portion are diverted to second and third detectors, which respectively register intensity and interferogram signals which can be processed to reduce the first interferogram's sensitivity to input noise. The reference arm includes a spatial filter producing a high quality spherical beam from the reference portion, a tilted wedge plate compensating for off-axis aberrations in the spatial filter output, and mirror collimating the radiation transmitted through the tilted wedge plate. The apparatus includes a thermally and mechanically stable baseplate which supports all reference arm optics, or at least the spatial filter, tilted wedge plate, and the collimator.

Abstract:

A thermally and mechanically stable wavefront reference source which produces a collimated output laser beam. The output beam comprises substantially planar reference wavefronts which are useful for aligning and testing optical interferometers. The invention receives coherent radiation from an input optical fiber, directs a diverging input beam of the coherent radiation to a beam folding mirror (to produce a reflected diverging beam), and collimates the reflected diverging beam using a collimating lens. In a class of preferred embodiments, the invention includes a thermally and mechanically stable frame comprising rod members connected between a front end plate and a back end plate. The beam folding mirror is mounted on the back end plate, and the collimating lens mounted to the rods between the end plates. The end plates and rods are preferably made of thermally stable metal alloy.

Abstract:

A magnetron reactor for providing a high density of plasma is disclosed. The reactor comprises a plasma reactor chamber that is adapted for receiving a processing gas in the chamber and is further adapted for connection to an evacuation source. A direct current driven magnetron is positioned within the reactor chamber and is adapted to hold a sputtering target. A movable substrate supporting pedestal, adapted to hold a substrate, is positioned within the reactor and is movable so as to place the substrate sufficiently proximate to the sputtering target to enable deposition of sputter products thereon. The substrate pedestal is connected to a first radio frequency signal source through an impedence matchbox having a phase shifting adjustment means. To provide a high density inductively coupled plasma, a radio frequency antenna, having a substrate end, is positioned about the chamber. The antenna is connected to a second radio frequency signal source through an impedence matchbox.
