Abstract:

Disclosed are systems and methods for testing a network service. In one embodiment, a system and a method pertain to sending an initial request to the network service, redirecting a related request sent by the network service to an actual network service such that the related request does not reach the actual network service, emulating operation of the actual network service, and returning at least one response to the network service being tested, the at least one response being responsive to the related request.

Abstract:

A method and corresponding apparatus use a translation system and vocabulary models to translate between different role-based vocabularies for different users. The vocabulary models may be associated with different roles, each role having one or more vocabularies. The vocabulary models may be fixed and hard-coded so that the roles and the role-based vocabularies are predefined and cannot be altered. The vocabulary models may also be flexible, allowing new roles and/or role-based vocabularies to be added.

Abstract:

The present invention is directed to a responsive online system that monitors a customer's biometric information to measure satisfaction levels. Preferably, the system automatically communicates information about a customer to the online system, without requiring explicit user action. The biometric information measured may be the electrical resistance of the customer's skin, finger pressure, pulse rate, audio or visual images, or other information. Because the system measures the customer's biometric information as the customer uses the online system, the system can respond dynamically and quickly to the user's stress levels.

A method for monitoring a managed system. A performance requirement comprising at least one condition and at least one consequence is received, wherein the condition describes a required performance level of the managed system and the consequence describes a penalty provided the required performance level is not satisfied. System management data of the managed system pertaining to the condition is monitored for an instance of a threshold of the required performance level not being satisfied. In response to the threshold not being satisfied, a notification is generated.

Abstract:

A method is disclosed for configuring and appearance of a website to a user of the website, based on feedback from the user. The website includes different appearance options for information displayed to different users. Feedback related to the appearance of the website is received from the user during a current session of use of the website by the user. Based on the feedback, the website diagnoses a problem perceived by the user. The appearance of the website is then changed for the user, based on the diagnosed problem. In one embodiment, users are grouped with other users and associated with user models having common appearance options. In this embodiment, a user's feedback may change the appearance of the website not only for the user but also for other users within the user's group.

Various systems, methods, and computer programs embodied in computer readable mediums are provided for displaying message timing. In one embodiment, a system for displaying message timing is provided that comprises a processor circuit having a processor and a memory, a display device operatively coupled to the processor circuit, and round-trip time display logic stored in the memory and executable by the processor. Abstract:

To facilitate the testing of a testee network service such as a web service made available on the Internet, various embodiments of a network service test system are provided. In one embodiment, a testee network service is tested using a network service test environment. The network service test environment surrounds the testee network service. The network service test environment comprises at least one mock client that is in data communication with and interacts with the testee network service. The network service test environment also includes at least one mock support network service in data communication with the testee network service. The at least one mock support network service simulates a performance of an actual support network service while a data communication link exists between the actual support network service and the testee network service.
