Abstract:

An assembly for a rapidly-drying rectifying flame rod, having an insulator sleeve. The assembly may further incorporate a mechanical coupling attaching the flame rod to an end part which in turn may be hermetically coupled to an insulator. The insulator may be hermetically coupled to a conduit which may be hermetically coupled to an elongated tube. A conductor may go through the tube, conduit, insulator and end part. The flame rod may be connected to the conductor via the mechanical coupling and end part. A sheath having sealing and electrical insulating properties may be formed over at least a portion of the components. Hermetic couplings may be made with ordinary blazing or welding. The couplings may instead be made with high temperature brazing or welding which can withstand temperatures equal to or greater than 1500 F. At these temperatures, the sleeve on the flame rod and the sheath may be eliminated.

A high efficiency low NOemission thermal oxidizer burner apparatus. The apparatus includes a plenum chamber having an inlet for introduction of combustion air and includes a combustion chamber in fluid communication with the plenum chamber. A primary waste gas pipe terminates in a lobed tip nozzle through the plenum chamber for introduction of waste gas into the combustion chamber. A primary fuel gas line is in communication with the plenum chamber for introduction of primary fuel gas.

Abstract:

A burner flame detection and monitoring system for a pilot burner for combustion of wastes gases and waste materials. The system includes a pilot burner assembly. A gas premix burner assembly includes a fuel gas delivery conduit, a fuel metering orifice, a fuel and air mixing device, a pilot tube and a pilot burner tip assembly. A primary sensor is in communication with the pilot burner assembly downstream of the fuel metering orifice. A secondary sensor is in communication with pilot burner assembly at or upstream of the fuel metering orifice. A processor receives input from both the primary sensor and the secondary sensor. A mechanism integrates the input from the primary sensor and the input from the secondary sensor in order to deduce the presence, absence or quality of a pilot flame.
