Short Sale Agent at it's Best... What's a short sale A few years ago my answer would have simply been a process that happens before home gets foreclosed on. Now I have faced the ones whom go through the distressing process of going through this type of process, the phone calls, the letters, and the unfortunate circumstances one faces when losing their home. I've dealt with so many great clients that wish nothing but to stay in their homes but can't due to economic times and situations. Starting off I had no idea how tough and also cooperative some banks where from one another; also, in how much communication, cooperation, paperwork was involved in a short sale process and still crossing your fingers that at the end of the day that lender(s) approves. Once I understood the process, understood my clients I've been able to make things easier for myself and also know exactly what I need to produce to initiate a smooth short sale process. I follow guidelines to the T for what each bank requires and request. I keep open communication with my clients and make sure I myself, and my clients are kept informed as often as we possibly could as to what are status is. The important step in making a short sale process go smoothly is dealing with any and all of negotiating myself first hand and getting exactly what is needed. I prepare my client with the process of a short sale including the negative and positives, time frame, and paperwork. I know this is a very stressful time in my clients life and my goal is to try and make it a very simple worry free process and at the end of the day when I know it's a success my heart smiles very big, although my client was not able to keep their home at least they know they can begin a new chapter in their life, get some peace of mind back, and you can't help but to shake their hand with a smile on your face knowing that we have accomplished a process that we committed ourselves too. With my experience in short sales, the process through out, and my promise to do all that I possibly can to make the process the least stressful for my client and most importantly Successful!
