Abstract:

A waste cart includes a container having a wall, with a pocket formed in an outer surface of the wall that creates a first sidewall facing a second sidewall, with an opening formed in both sidewalls. A grab bar has a free-sliding end and a retention end. The free-sliding end is inserted through the opening in the first sidewall, and the retention end is inserted through the opening in the second sidewall. The retention end includes a retainer for securing the grab bar with respect to the second sidewall. In the current embodiment, the grab bar includes a snap element near the retention end and a flange portion between the snap element and the free-sliding end. When the grab bar is installed, a portion of the second sidewall is positioned between the snap element and the flange portion.

Abstract:

Improved e-mail functionality. In a first general respect, the invention relates to the ability to co-author an e-mail. For example, an e-mail can be attributed to several senders in the same or similar way that conventional technology attributes e-mails to be from a single user. In a second general respect, the invention relates to the ability to customize the distribution of attachments between recipients of a single e-mail message. For example, one can send an e-mail to several recipients and choose which of those recipients should receive which of the attachments. In this way, e-mail can mimic the practice of letters—copying someone “without enclosures.” Moreover, certain attachments can be included for certain recipients while excluding others.

Abstract:

An RFID-enabled waste/recycling cart including a container, a lid, a hinge pin, and an RFID device. The container includes a handle, and the RFID device is located within the handle. The hinge pin connects the lid to the container and also secures the RFID device within the handle. The RFID device may be attached to or separate from the hinge pin. If attached, the RFID device may be molded to the hinge pin or snap-fitted to the hinge pin. At least one of the handle, the RFID device, and the hinge pin may include structure for angularly orienting the RFID device within the handle.

Abstract:

A magnetic tape cartridge includes a housing for supporting the tape for movement therein and for enclosing a portion of the tape. The tape is expandable from a particular reference point along its width by virtue of temperature and humidity changes. A track position indicator attached to the cartridge includes indicia thereon relative to track positions along the width of the tape. The indicator has a coefficient of expansion closely similar to the coefficient of expansion of the tape, and in the preferred embodiment is made of the same material as the magnetic tape substrate material.

Abstract:

A method is provided for measuring at resolutions which are in some instances less than 20 nanometers the concentration densities within one or more diffusion regions within a semiconductor substrate. The diffusion regions are prepared for measurement by cleaving a cross-sectional surface and polishing that surface to a substantially flat, exposed profile. The profile is purposefully pre-etched to remove oxide abutting the implant area and thereafter dopant-selective etched in accordance with concentration densities within the substrate. Pre-etching of oxide and concentration density etching of doped silicon provides an exposed topological contour measurable by atomic force microscopy (AFM). AFM can detect the entire cross-sectional surface including conductors and dielectrics. The topological height of impurity region profiles of a calibration wafer are correlated to impurity concentrations to form a calibration curve.
