Abstract:

The compounds of formula I herein exhibit useful pharmacological activity and accordingly are incorporated into pharmaceutical compositions and used in the treatment of patients suffering from certain medical disorders. More specifically, they are inhibitors of the activity of Factor Xa. The present invention is directed to compounds of formula I, compositions containing compounds of formula I, and their use, which are for treating a patient suffering from, or subject to, physiological condition which can be ameliorated by the administration of an inhibitor of the activity of Factor Xa.

Abstract:

A covering system includes a flexible, web-like membrane having first and second portions. A first cross support is connected to the first portion of the membrane, and a second cross support is connected to the second portion of the membrane. A drive mechanism is provided for moving the second cross support relative to the first cross support so that the membrane is movable between a first, retracted position and a second, deployed position. The drive mechanism includes a force multiplication mechanism for facilitating a longitudinal tensile stress application to the membrane when it is in the second, deployed position. A transverse tensioning mechanism that includes a catenary linkage is also provided for tensioning the membrane in a direction that is transverse to the longitudinal direction.

Abstract:

A device for securing a shoe lace has a first panel and a second panel affixed to the first panel. The second panel being movable about a fold line between a first position away from the first panel and a second position in contact with the first panel. A first shoe lace securing member extending from a first side of the first panel and a second shoe lace securing member extending from an opposed side of the first panel, each shoe lace securing member securing the first panel to a shoe.
