Abstract:

A gaming machine controlled by a processor in response to a wager, comprises a basic game and a bonus feature. The basic game includes a plurality of basic game outcomes. The plurality of basic game outcomes include a start-bonus outcome. The bonus feature is triggered by the start-bonus outcome and indicated on a visual display. The bonus feature includes a selection stage succeeded by a bonus stage. In the selection stage, the visual display initially depicts an assemblage of selectable elements that conceal a unified image. The elements are successively selected by the player and/or processor to generate bonus-opportunity outcomes until an element is selected that produces a stop-selection outcome. The elements associated with each bonus-opportunity outcome are removed from the assemblage to reveal those portions of the unified image concealed by those elements. In response to the stop-selection outcome, the bonus feature proceeds to the bonus stage.

Abstract:

A data processing process and embodiment for optimizing the signal path for multi-modality imaging is described. The embodiment and process optimizes the signal to noise ratio in a positron emission tomography (PET) signal path utilizing scintillation crystals, avalanche photo diodes, and charge sensitive preamplifiers in a dual modality MRI/PET scanner. The dual use of both and analog pole zero circuit and a digital filter enables higher signal levels or a fixed ADC input range and thus a higher possible signal to noise ratio in the presence of significant pileup caused by high positron activity. The higher signal to noise ratio is needed in the PET signal architecture, because of the presence of non-modal time varying electromagnetic fields from the MR, which are a significant source of noise for the wideband PET signal modality.

Abstract:

A gaming machine uses mathematical modeling and graphical displays to provide players with realistic depictions of gaming activities for wagering. Three-dimensional mathematical models are used to simulate real-world interactions of physical objects, with a display showing the player a visual representation of the game interactions. By providing the player with a realistic depiction of real-world gaming activities, a gaming machine according to the present invention involves the player in the wagered-upon activity to a greater extent than traditional gaming machines.
