Provided herein is an ophthalmic lens and methods for making an ophthalmic lens. The ophthalmic lens includes a body having one or more films having at least one spectral reflection band. The reflection band includes spectral reflection properties to reflect right handed circularly polarized light, left handed circularly polarized light, or a combination of right handed circularly polarized light and left handed circularly polarized light.

5-Aroyl-4-RO-, 5-aroyl-4-RS-, 5-aroyl-4-RSO-, 5-aroyl-4-RSO. sub. 2 -, or 5-pyrrylcarbonyl-pyrrole alkanoic acid have been prepared via hydrolysis of a precursor-ester after high temperature decarboxylation or from direct acidic decarboxylation of a precursor diacid. The compounds are analgesic and anti-inflammatory agents of high activities but low ulcerogenic side effects.

Abstract:

Disclosed herein is a surgical cutting guide, a surgical cutting guide assembly and a method for using same. The surgical cutting may have first and second slots defining first and second axes respectively. The surgical cutting guide may be positioned away from a vertebral body such that the first and second axes intersect at a distal point located in an interior of the vertebral body. The surgical cutting assembly may include the surgical cutting guide with first and second cutting instruments. A method of performing a pedicle subtraction osteotomy may include the steps of placing the surgical cutting guide over the first and second cutting instruments.
