Abstract:
A multi-part color developing kit includes at least two parts (or solutions) of photochemical compositions that can be mixed to provide a color developing composition useful for obtaining color photographic images. A first aqueous solution is formulated with a color developing agent in free base form, an antioxidant for the color developing agent, an inorganic base, a triazinylstilbene optical brightening agent, an chemical base and a water-miscible or water-soluble hydroxy-substituted, straight-chain organic solvent. A second aqueous solution is formulated with a buffering agent, the same or different chemical base and a phosphonic acid metal ion sequestering agent. Both solutions have a pH and homogeneity to provide a clear color developing composition that is safer for use and disposal.

US Classification:
430379
Abstract:
A photographic reversal bath concentrate is formulated in such a manner as to avoid precipitates while including new biocides and excluding propionic acid. The concentrate is prepared by adding stannous ion nucleating agent to a solution of an organic phosphonic or phosphinic acid chelating agent, followed by addition of a quaternary ammonium compound as the sole biocide at a concentration of at least about 1 g/l. The quaternary ammonium compound has a molecular weight of from about 175 to about 440.

International Classification:

US Classification:
430491
Abstract:
A homogeneous, ready to use, single-part color developing concentrate comprises a color developing agent in free base form, an antioxidant for the color developing agent, a buffering agent, and a water-miscible or water-soluble hydroxy-substituted, straight-chain organic solvent present in an a concentration such that the weight ratio of water to the organic solvent is from about 15:85 to about 50:50. In addition the concentrate includes a mixture of a specific polyaminopolyphosphonic acid and either a hydroxyalkylidenediphosphonic acid or morpholinomethanediphosphonic acid (or salt thereof) for stability in the presence of calcium ions. This concentrate is prepared by mixing the components in a unique order for improved safety and manufacturability. It can be used to make a working strength processing solution, or it can be used as a replenishing composition with proper dilution to provide color images in photographic silver halide materials.

This composition is prepared in a unique manner, namely by combining the noted components, and removing the sulfate anions commonly present in color developing agents by precipitation with alkali metal ions, before addition of further components. The concentrate can be used to make a working strength processing solution, or it can be used as a replenishing composition with proper dilution.

Abstract:
A conditioning or bleach accelerating solution is prepared by diluting a concentrate up to 25 times. The concentrate contains a formaldehyde bisulfite precursor salt at from 200 to 600 g/l, sulfite ions at 0 to 200 g/l, a bleach accelerating agent at from 1. 5 to 25 g/l, and a metal ion chelating agent present at up to 60 g/l. The concentrate is free of sodium ions.

Michael Haight, who killed wife Tausha Haight, her mother, 5 kids, vented his anger in note before Utah murder-suicide
The claims in the suicide note left by Michael Haight, 42, stand in stark contrast to conclusions by investigators in the 57-page report that overwhelmingly portray Haight, and not his wife, as controlling and abusive. The report cites the family's communications before the killings and interviews f"This is nonsense and I can't handle it for one more day. We will not be a burden on society. I kept asking for help and you wouldn't listen," Michael Haight, 42, wrote in the note included in the report released by the city of Enoch.People close to the Haights interviewed by investigators whose names were redacted in the report said that Michael Haight had lost his job at Allstate Insurance in nearby Cedar City, Utah and was seeking to start an independent agency.

Airports announce breast-feeding stations: Are mothers gaining ground?
Nonetheless, studies indicate that the majority of airports still do not have adequate facilities for nursing mothers. A 2014 study by scholars Michael Haight and Joan Ortiz concluded that 8 percent of surveyed airports provided the minimum requirements for a lactation room.
