About:
Michael is an attorney and new to real estate. A resident of Northern Westchester for 35 years, he lives with his wife, a physician and board certified neurologist and his twins, a boy and a girl. Helping people is a cornerstone of his family values. Michael felt, with his background as an attorney, he could transfer his skills and values to real estate brokerage bringing to bear a high level of expertise. In addition, Michael chose to associate with Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty to have a strong team and fantastic network behind him. His wife, Madeleine Kitaj, MD, specializes in the treatment of headaches, a very debilitating condition, and ADD/ADHD, which impacts one's ability to function in both the academic and the work world. And finally, Michael’s daughter, Emmy, is attending Pace University and will shortly be a teacher with a focus on kids who need special education. The practice of law is an excellent entre into the world of real estate brokerage. Much that is expected of an attorney is also expected of a Broker. A lawyer is an “advisor, advocate, negotiator, and evaluator.” Does this sound familiar? This is also what is required of a real estate Broker. Michael "has been there, done that." During the course of his legal career Michael spent much time negotiating to get the best possible results for his clients. In the world of real estate this translates into, when representing a seller, the best possible price; when representing a buyer, the lowest possible price, and in both cases the best other terms of the sale. What about confidentiality? – of course. And, most importantly, what about integrity and fair dealing and loyalty to your client? – of course, this goes without saying. And, by the way, while in Law School at the University of Pennsylvania, Michael was on the Law Review and graduated with honors.
