Abstract:

An automated system and method for presenting both interactive and proactive customized and personalized advice for a customer by a financial institution is based on a sophisticated customer profile generated by the system according to an analysis of the customer from a totality of the customers interaction with the system. The system includes, for example, an advice engine, which is primarily software, that considers numerous sets of system logic, such as legal constraints and statistical facts that affect the customer, and generates the advice. The system also includes a presentation engine which varies the presentation, depending in part on the mode by which the customer accesses the system, but regardless of the mode, presents the advice to the customer in an individualized manner. Additionally, the system includes a context assessment engine, which examines the context of the interaction between the customer and the system and assesses the effectiveness of the advice.

Abstract:

A transition piece for use in the generally perpendicular joinder of the tubular components of an inflatable life raft is provided and comprises a generally tubular body portion terminating at one extremity in an integral, generally circular attachment flange of generally concave cross section which includes an aperture formed generally centrally thereof to mate with a like aperture in a tubular life raft component to provide for fluid communication through the transition piece between the tubular components joined thereby upon inflation of the life raft. In one embodiment, a software system automatically generates a fully functional user interface (UI) based upon any underlying schema within a relational database management system (RDBMS). The UI derives from an automated interrogation of the schema, and comprises all mode displays (e.g., browse, search, edit, add) for all tables, along with integrated mechanisms for representing, navigating and managing relationships across tables. It utilizes a hierarchical “context stack” for suspending the working state of a particular table while “drilling down” to work with related-table information and (potentially) return relevant changes to the base table. The UI presentation resolves cross-table relationships so as to supplant internal key fields from the primary table with corresponding descriptive fields derived from the related tables. Techniques are also provided to enhance and extend the internal representation of table structures, constraints, relationships and special requirements (“business rules”) for improved discovery of the schema structure via automated interrogation.
