Brukbacher, off-duty police Sgt. Jon Kessler and another anonymous helper "effortlessly" lift the Kia Rio on the count of three. Simpson said the Kia's driver, Michael Lovato, 52, pulled Kalala and her daughter out from under the car. Police say Lovato will likely not be charged in the incident.

Officers, Good Samaritans Praised For Lifting Car Off Mother & Toddler
The family was walking across Exposition Avenue at about 6:25 p.m. when they were hit by a driver who was going about 30 mph. Police confirmed that the driver Michael Lovato, 52, of Aurora was going 5 mph under the speed limit and that the mother and children were not using a crosswalk.
