A data delivery analysis report is generated by collecting various network performance parameters from a plurality of communication devices connected to a communication network. Logic located at a network management system collects and presents the network performance information to a network administrator in a graphical format such that the network administrator may determine whether reduced network performance is attributable to the network or to the traffic characteristics of a particular network user.

A method for producing a negative image by coating a substrate with a photosensitive layer containing a blocked hydrophobic polymer capable of deblocking in the presence of an acid, and an oxime sulfonate ester or o-quinone-4-sulfonyl-containing diazide, then imagewise exposing, treating with a gaseous base, removing excess base, overall flood exposing, baking and developing with an aqueous alkaline solution.

Abstract:

The present invention is directed to a process for making an array of tapered photopolymerized waveguides. A photomask having opaque and transparent regions is placed in substantial contact with a substrate having a substantially uniform thickness of photopolymerizable mixture thereon. The photopolymerizable mixture is then exposed through the transparent regions of the photomask to substantially collimated actinic radiation for a time sufficient to form an array of tapered photopolymerized waveguides. The photomask and photopolymerizable mixture which was not substantially polymerized by the substantially collimated actinic radiation are then removed from the substrate. The tapered waveguides are useful as a display means in direct view devices and projection display devices.

Abstract:

A novel positive photoresist formulation is provided based on a 1:1 copolymer of maleimide and an aliphatic vinyl ether or ester in combination with a photoactive sensitizer capable of undergoing a change in aqueous alkaline solubility upon exposure to actinic radiation. The copolymers disclosed have structures of the following type: ##STR1## where R is an alkyl substituent of from 1 to 20 carbon atoms, benzyl, C. sub. 1 to C. sub. 10 aralkyl, C. sub. 3 to C. sub. 12 cycloalkyl or ##STR2## where R" has the structures assigned to R, and where R' is independently H, C. sub. 1 to C. sub. 10 alkyl, phenyl, benzyl or C. sub. 1 to C. sub. 10 aralkyl. The polymers are compounded with a photoactive sensitizer capable of undergoing a change in aqueous alkaline solubility upon exposure to actinic radiation such as with diazonaphthoquinone sulfonic acid esters and amides. The polymer and sensitizer compositions are dissolved together in a solvent useful for spin casting of thin films on substrates.
