Abstract:

The present invention is directed to an improved apparatus for carrying and/or storing paper and the like. The apparatus is typically a binder for paper and the like that has a first cover and a second cover. The covers are hingedly connected at one of their ends. On the second, or rear cover, usually in the vicinity of the hinged connection of the front and rear cover, there is typically a holding means such as a multi-ring or another type of mechanism for securing the papers and other items in the binder. At least one cover, usually the front, is made up of a material that is relatively flexible. Both covers are preferably provided with a score line extending from the top edge to the bottom edge at their ends opposite their connection. Extending from the score lines on each cover is an end portion that may be used to secure the covers together. The holding means is preferably a “D” shaped ring and one cover, usually the front, wraps itself around the curved segment of the “D”.

Abstract:

The present invention relates to improvements in color print guides for use in selecting colors. The tint guide of the present invention may be formed from a three dimensional model of the three primary colors that make up a section of a fan deck. The colors cyan, magenta and yellow (CMY) may be used. This combination of colors can display a full range of process colors. There may be three other similar models. One additional model can be cyan, magenta and black. A third can be cyan, yellow and black and the fourth can be magenta, yellow and black.

Abstract:

The invention is directed to a hinged container for packaging a variety of products. There is a base section having a plurality of side walls and a base. Hingedly attached to an upper surface of one sidewall is an upper section having a cross section similar to the cross section of the base section. An over lid is placed over the upper section. As the over lid is raised a portion of the interior of the over lid contacts at least one side wall of the upper section causing the upper section to open about the hinged connection with the base section.

Abstract:

A blank for making a case for a compact disc comprising a first surface and a second surface, said first surface being separated from the second surface by a first side wall, said first side wall being joined to the first surface and the second surface at first and second score lines respectively, said second surface having a second sidewall and a third sidewall, said second sidewall and said third sidewalls being on opposite sides of said second surface, said sidewalls being separated from said second surface by score lines, each of said second and third sidewalls having extending therefrom a wing separated from said sidewall by a score line, said wings having a first edge with a first length and a second edge with a second length and wherein said first length is greater than said second length, said first edge having extending therefrom a third edge and said second edge having extending therefrom an arcuate member, wherein one end of said arcuate member connects with one end of said first edge, said first surface having a retaining means on the side of the first surface opposite the first sidewall, said retaining means being separated from said first surface by a score line, said retaining means having a body portion that has first and second side walls as well as a first finger and a second finger extending from said sidewalls, said fingers being separated from each other by an arcuate edge.
