Abstract:

A management rack for facilitating the routing and organization of a plurality of elongated members. The rack includes a frame, a spanning element having distinct edges thereof attached to the frame at distinct portions thereof, an organizational element disposed on the spanning element for routing and organizing at least some of the plurality of elongated members, a first hinge support disposed in a first location on the frame, a second hinge support disposed in a second location on the frame, and a door having a first hinge for engaging the first hinge support and having a second hinge for engaging the second hinge support whereby the door is rotatable on the hinges between a closed position where the portion of the frame between the first and second hinge supports is substantially covered by the door and thereby generally inaccessible and an open position where the portion of the frame between the first and second hinge supports is substantially uncovered by the door and thereby generally accessible.

Abstract:

A cable manager provides horizontal cable management of adjacent patch panels or network equipment on network distribution racks. The cable manager includes a central section and a front cable routing section and is mountable on a network rack, such as an EIA rack. The central section has a longitudinal width sized to fit within the network rack, a front side, a rear side, and rack mounting holes provided on opposite longitudinal ends of the central section. The front cable routing section extends from the front side of the central section and includes a plurality of spaced fingers having an arcuate surface that provides bend radius control. A slit provides flexibility to the fingers. Ears extend laterally from the fingers. The cable manager can also include a rear cable routing section that includes a second plurality of spaced fingers. One or more passthrough openings can be provided in the central section to allow routing of cabling from the front section to the rear section.

An integrally molded cable manager for routing cables wherein the cable manager is generally enclosable by a cover. The integrally molded cable manager includes a generally rectangular base portion and a pair of side wall portions generally perpendicular to the base portion along the longer sides of the generally rectangular base portion, each of the side wall portions having a plurality of generally aligned fingers. Abstract:

Cable managers of the present invention include a panel, at least two adjacent spaced-apart projections, which define an opening therebetween, and a tab connected to at least one of the projections. The tab assists in cable routing and retention. In one embodiment, the tab extends to a distance at least midway between a top surface of the one projection and the bottom surface of the other projection. In another embodiment, a distance between a top surface of the tab on one projection and the bottom surface of another adjacent projection is between about 0. 10 inches and about 0. 30 inches. In yet another embodiment, a cable manager comprises separable portions, and at least one spacer member which is adapted to be attached to each of separable first and second portions. The spacer member increases the width of the manager to provide additional space to run cable within the manager.

Abstract:

Observing an object within a visual blind spot of a motor vehicle includes using a mirror with at least one motor mechanically coupled thereto. Preferably, a position of the side view mirror can be adjusted by the at least one motor. An object detector detects objects within a visual blind spot of a vehicle. The object detector is operable to provide a detection signal to the at least one motor to adjust a position of the mirror to provide a view of the blind spot to a driver of the vehicle. The view can be toggled between normal viewing and blind spot viewing depending on the detection signal. The view can also be adjusted to track the object.
