A unit dose test device for a nucleic acid amplification reaction has the form of a elongate disposable test strip. The test strip includes a dual-chamber reaction vessel pre-loaded with nucleic acid amplification reaction reagents, and a plurality of wells for processing a reaction occurring in the reaction vessel.
A special purpose tool for manual installation and removal of bushings or sleeve bearings from press fit bearing housings within automotive engines, transmissions, and other machinery with no resultant damage to the housing is disclosed. The present tool is comprised of a cylindrical body member including a pilot diameter, which aligns the tool in coaxial relation to the bushing and a bushing locating journal that engages the bushing to be removed. A plurality of machine screws are disposed in the body member at predetermined radial positions. To remove a bushing the machine screws are advanced axially within threaded holes such that the machine screw threads tap into and capture the worn bushing and/or bearing sleeve and the tool is withdrawn. The present tool is also utilized to manually install new bushings into housings and other components by removal of the aforementioned machine screws.
A direct replacement impeller hub for the torque converter of an automatic transmission and a method of repairing an impeller assembly utilizing the replacement impeller hub to provide increased service longevity. In the present impeller hub the geometric roundness characteristic of the impeller hub is controlled to an exacting tolerance during the manufacturing process in accordance with American National Standards Institute (ANSI) definitions to provide a close tolerance fit within a mating bearing sleeve. The present impeller hub is also finish ground in accordance with ANSI definitions to reduce surface friction and to provide an optimal sealing surface for engagement with a radial seal, which is disposed about the impeller hub sealing it to prevent contaminants from entering the hydraulic pump of the transmission. The present impeller hub also includes additional structural features such as fillet radii machined on selected features to facilitate assembly of the torque converter.
A heavy-duty replacement torque converter cover for an automatic transmission designed to withstand the mechanical stresses generated during the torque converter lock-up cycle and other peak torque events in diesel engine pick-up trucks is disclosed. The present cover includes an internal spline that achieves up to a 70% increase in spline tooth engagement with a mating friction plate in the lock-up clutch in comparison to the original equipment cover providing increased torque capacity to the lock-up clutch. This is accomplished by machining a true internal spline within the cover on gear shaping equipment instead of utilizing the so-called Grob cold forming method, which provides only a simulated internal spline comprised of interlocking embossments having substantially less torque capacity than the present internal spline. The present cover also provides a thicker lock-up clutch surface, increased structural support for stud weldments, reduced stress cracking, improved heat dissipation, and increased service longevity.

Abstract:
The inventions described herein are directed to bispecific antibodies that are capable of selectively targeting exosomes by specifically binding a first exosome-associated protein and Programmed Death Ligand-1 (“PD-L1”) as a second exosome-associated protein. These bispecific antibodies can disrupt the suppression of anti-tumor activity by immune cells by targeting tumor-cell derived exosomes that inhibit T cell activation. Therefore, bispecific antibodies of the invention can be used in methods for treating cancers.

Abstract:
This invention relates to the incorporation of one, or more, heterologous antibody epitopes into the AB, EF, or CD structural loops of the constant heavy domain 3 (“CH3 domain”) of an engineered antibody or Fc-linked therapeutic agent. The heterologous epitopes serve as “epitope tags” that are specifically detectable by epitope tag-specific detector antibodies, irrespective of the tagged agent's target specificity. Therefore, the epitope tags are useful for the rapid detection of any tagged antibody or Fc-linked agent in biological samples, including samples, which also contain endogenous antibodies.

Abstract:
The invention features isolated mRNAs encoding at least one intracellular binding domain, including mRNAs comprising one or more modified nucleobase and preferably lacking an encoded scaffold polypeptide, and methods of using the same, for example, for inducing apoptosis and/or treating cancer (e.g., liver cancer or colorectal cancer).

RHP Michael Morin took his third loss of the season in relief Tuesday night. Morin allowed three runs on three hits in his lone inning during a 4-2 loss to the Baltimore Orioles. The rookie struck out two but saw his ERA rise from 1.96 to 2.63.
Cron (nine homers), infielder-outfielder Grant Green (.324), right-handed starter Matt Shoemaker (7-2) and right-handed reliever Michael Morin (2.08 earned-run average) have played pivotal roles while such regulars as Hamilton, third baseman David Freese, outfielder Kole Cahoun and left-handed starmajor contributions from unexpected sources (RHP Garrett Richards, 1B C.J. A disabling injury to either of the Angels catchers, Chris Iannetta or Hank Conger, could prove costly.
their second comeback of the game. Trailing 6-2, they scored three runs on four hits -- including a long two-run homer to left by Viciedo that made it 6-5. Chicago also had runners at the corners when right-handed reliever Michael Morin struck out second baseman Leury Garcia looking to end the inning.

Danny Valencia injured while sparking Royals to 7-4 win over Angels in 13 innings
Valencia harbored no regrets about his decision. After his hit, Alcides Escobar followed with a bunt, which reliever Michael Morin promptly threw away to provide the Royals the go-ahead run. They tacked on with an RBI single from Nori Aoki and a sacrifice fly from Billy Butler.

Albert Pujols' power, Matt Shoemaker's pitching lift Angels
Shoemaker was charged with a run when he walked James Loney in the seventh inning, then Michael Morin took over and allowed a two-run home run to Kevin Kiermeier the first career home run for the Rays rookie and the first run Morin has allowed in 10 major-league appearances.
Michael Morin relieved Shoemaker with a 5-0 lead and retired his first batter before Kevin Kiermaier hit his first big league homer a drive to left that kept carrying until it disappeared in the lower seats in the left-field corner. That ended a career-opening streak of nine scoreless innings by M
