A circuit for a pixel in a display device includes drive circuitry, an organic light emitting diode in electrical connection with the drive circuitry, and at least one resistive current path which is selected to be non-emissive in electrical connection with the drive circuitry and in parallel with the organic light emitting diode.

Abstract:

Techniques, devices, and systems are provided that allow for driving a device such as an OLED in various pulsed modes in which a momentary luminance greater than an apparent luminance at which the OLED is to be driven is used. The use of one or more pulsed modes allows for the lifetime of the OLED to be extended and reduces image sticking. Pulsed modes are also provided that allow for color tuning of the device by activating different portions of one or more emissive areas of the device.

Abstract:

Sensors and lighting components are provided that are capable of matching an emitted color to a color observed at a remote location. The sensor measures a light characteristic at a first location, and provides data to a remote lighting component, such as via a wireless connection. The lighting component is configured to emit light based upon the light characteristic, and thus is able to match an observed lighting condition. The lighting component may match the color, intensity, temperature, pattern, texture, or other characteristic of light at a remote location.
