Abstract:

A system and method for providing digital data content to a wireless device. Although a fee is typically charged for access to the digital data content, e.g., electronic books, the system and the method provides controlled access to this content for free while the wireless device is accessing the content in a specified location, e.g., a retail location. A content control server receives a request from the wireless device requesting access to the digital data content. The request is received over a secure connection, preferably a virtual private network (VPN). The content control server monitors how much of the digital data content has been provided to the wireless device, and/or an amount of time the wireless device has been accessing the digital data content. This content control server uses this monitored data to control, throttle, the provision of the digital data content to the wireless device.

This invention discloses a treatment for a patient receiving medication to treat an attention deficit disorder such as ADHD wherein the treatment results in a loss of appetite and impairment of the patient's attentiveness. The treatment combines a treatment for an attention deficit disorder with an appetite stimulant, wherein the appetite stimulant increases the caloric intake of a patient, which can increase the patient's attentiveness. The combination treatment can be given for an indefinite, including, without limitation, life-long, to allow a patient to maintain normal caloric intake during treatment for an attention deficit disorder.

Abstract:

Electronic devices may include displays. A display may include backlight components that provide backlight illumination for the display. Backlight components may include a light guide plate that distributes light from a light source across the display. A plastic display chassis may be used to support display layers and backlight components. A light blocking material such as a layer of metal or opaque coating material may be formed on a surface of the plastic display chassis and may be used to reduce light leakage from the backlight components to the exterior of the electronic device. A metal barrier structure may be formed on a surface of the support structure and may be used to ground a conductive display layer to a conductive support structure such as a metal display chassis or a metal housing member. The plastic display chassis may be insert molded around a light barrier structure.
