Abstract:
Techniques, apparatus, materials and systems are described for providing solar cells. In one aspect, an apparatus includes a high efficiency dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC). The DSSC includes three-dimensional nanostructured electrodes. The three-dimensional nanostructured electrodes can include a cathode; an electrolyte; and anode that includes TiO2 nanotubes arranged in a three-dimensional structure; and a photosensitive dye coated on the anode.
Polygonal Tool For Removal Of Stripped Hex Head Fasteners
A tool for removing threaded fasteners such as screws and/or bolts having hexagonal recessed sockets formed in their heads, with the tool including an elongated broach polygonal in cross section, with a sleeve having a like cross sectional configuration slidably mounted thereon. The sleeve is provided at one end with a protruding insert head that is capable of being projected into countersunk bores so as to have facial contact with a countersunk hex head of a fastener, while the opposite end of the sleeve may be countersunk so as to provide a receptacle for receiving the protruding or exposed hex head of the fastener to be removed.
A guard which is mountable over the head of a hammer so as to stop fragments from flying which could injure the user. The guard is substantially larger than the hammer head and is formed with a large pocket which substantially encloses the head of the hammer so as to catch fragments which fly from the object being striked by the hammer to prevent injury to the user or anyone in the immediate area. The guard is flexible so that it will collapse and has a memory so that it will return to its original position. The guard may be made of clear plastic so that the object being striked by the hammer is visible through the guard. Various structures and methods of mounting the guard to the hammerhead are provided.
A bolt head reforming tool for extracting bolts that have had their head stripped such that they cannot be removed with a wrench. A hollow tool has a central opening which has a lower portion large enough to pass over the head of the bolt and an inner portion which is smaller than the head of the bolt such that the tool can be driven onto the head of the bolt with a hammer such that the smaller portion cuts the head of the bolt to reform it to its original position. The tool may have a staggered inside cutting edge so that as the tool is driven further onto the head of the bolt, a third inner surface also cuts the head of the bolt. The outer surface of the tool is formed such that a wrench can be connected thereto so as to turn the tool and the bolt to thus remove the head.
