In some instances, a first end of the first handle arm and a second end of the second handle arm are rotatably connected to the seat shell. Additionally, while the first handle arm typically comprises a first bowed portion that opens in a first direction and a second bowed portion that opens in a second direction, the second handle arm comprises a third bowed portion that opens in the first direction. In some cases, the car seat also comprises a handhold disposed on a lateral side of the seat shell.
