Abstract:

A vertical situation display system for use in a vehicle such as, for example, an aircraft, is provided. A side view of an intended route of flight may be shown with altitude restrictions, airspace and instrument approach information, a projected flight path and range to airspeed symbol. The system may show terrain, weather, and traffic information along the intended route of flight. The system may be used in conjunction with a navigational display to enhance situational awareness. The system includes a computer, an electronic display device, an electronic entry device, a memory and a database. The database may contain terrain, airspace and flight planning data and may be updatable.

The vertical situation display has a first screen area to depict the holding pattern and second screen area to show a flight path after the holding pattern. Abstract:

Embodiments are provided for displaying components for visually designing logical structures or macros. In one embodiment, a logical surface component is displayed which may include a design surface. The design surface may be utilized to display data which make up one or more macros. The design surface may be selected for receiving macro data. The received data, which represents a macro design, may then be displayed in the design surface on a display device. In another embodiment, controls for navigating within logical surface components utilized for designing macros may be displayed on a display device. A logical surface component which includes a hierarchical grouping of macro actions may be displayed. One more actions may be selected and an instruction may be received in a visual interface to move selected actions among the hierarchical grouping. In response to receiving the move instruction, the selected actions which were moved may be displayed.

Abstract:

Methods and systems are provided for enhancing the paste functionality available to a computer software application for pasting data into a computer-generated document. Data is selected from a document to be pasted to a second document. The selected data is saved to a memory location, such a clipboard. Along with the selected data, information or data related to the selected data is saved for providing a consuming or pasting software application information about any data types associated the selected data. In response, the consuming application may obtain a namespace and an associated resource such as an Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformation file for transforming the selected data from a first data type associated with the first document to a second data type for pasting the selected data to the second document in order to maintain data structure and formatting in the pasted data as was applied to the selected data prior to pasting.

User interface verification may be provided. First, a known good file may be received. Next, an automation may be run on an application program to place the application program in a predetermined state. Data from the known good file may then be compared to data corresponding to a user interface corresponding to the predetermined state of the application program. In response to the comparison, results corresponding to comparing the data from the known good file to the data corresponding to the user interface may be reported.
