Abstract:

The method for re-deploying an offshore jacket using a plinth involves the steps of locating an offshore jacket; constructing a plinth with a plinth legs, a skirt pile sleeve, a mud mat, a space frame, guide cones, and a trestle per plinth leg; placing the plinth at the second site; driving one skirt pile into each skirt pile sleeve; disconnecting the jacket legs from the seabed at the first site; lifting the offshore jacket above the seabed; moving the offshore jacket from the first site to the second site; and lowering the offshore jacket such that each jacket leg stabs into each guide cone on the plinth until each jacket leg mud mat contacts each trestle; and inserting pin piles through each jacket leg and plinth leg and grouting the pin piles to effect a permanent structural connection between plinth and jacket.

Abstract:

A dispenser is provided for delivering a controlled quantity of a granular material. The dispenser includes a container assembly, a diffuser and a metering cup. The container includes a reservoir which supports a disposable cartridge of granular material. The cartridge is supported in the reservoir so as to define a passageway therebetween. A nozzle is defined for the outflow of material from the cartridge. The diffuser is disposed on one end of the container and includes a plurality of apertures. The metering cup is disposed on the opposite end of the container and has an open end adapted to receive granular material. Adjustment of the axial spacing between the nozzle and metering cup varies the quantity of granular material collected in the cup. The granular material is dispensed by inverting the container to a second orientation, such that material flows out of the metering cup, through the passageway and out of the diffuser. The nozzle may serve as a piercing mechanism for opening the disposable cartridge upon its insertion into the reservoir.

Abstract:

There is provided a gaming system, gaming machine, and method that utilize an electronic display device configured to display a set of symbol-bearing reels. In a reel spin, the set of reels are spun and stopped to randomly place symbols in an array. In response to one or more triggering conditions, game-logic circuitry performs a replay or rewind operation. In one type of replay operation, a subset of the reels are held while the remaining reels are respun to potentially improve the outcome of that spin. In another type of replay operation, the game-logic circuitry conducts a series of initial spins and then conducts an additional spin for each initial spin that yielded a losing outcome.
