Abstract:

A ratcheting device comprising a driver head assembly which includes at least two 3-D sprag elements positioned within a first groove within the driver head assembly such that at least one of the 3-D sprag elements may lockingly engage the driver head assembly and a mating hub assembly to allow for rotation of the hub assembly in one direction with respect to the driver head assembly. This arrangement allows the ratcheting tool to impart torque in either the clockwise or counterclockwise direction without having to first rotate the ratcheting tool in the direction opposite the direction in which the torque is applied. This arrangement also allows the ratcheting tool to impart torque in either the clockwise or counterclockwise direction while in the neutral position.

A blister card package structure with increased support comprising a first card having an inner surface and an outer surface, the first card defining an outer edge, a second card having an inner surface and an outer surface, the second card defining an opening therein and an outer edge, a blister having a body portion and a flange, wherein the body portion extends through the opening in the second card, and wherein the flange is positioned between the inner surfaces of the first and second cards, and an inner frame stiffener positioned between the inner surfaces of the first and second cards, wherein the inner surface of the first card is sealingly connected to the inner surface of the second card along the outer edges of the first and second cards.

Abstract:

A blister card includes graphics printed on a substrate surface, which is then cut to produce an opening through which a blister may be received. The cut-out portion of the substrate is transferred in proper register to a position behind the blister so as to provide a continuous graphic image on the package. A method is also described for providing background graphics on a blister card in the region behind the blister.

Abstract:

A packaging structure is disclosed. In accordance with one aspect, the structure includes a blister () including a flange () and a body portion (), a front card () defining a blister receiving opening and a first hang tab notch () therein, the blister receiving opening being sized and shaped to receive the body portion therethrough and prevent passage of the flange OC therethrough. The structure also includes a rear card () defining a second hang tab notch () therein; and a hang tab reinforcement card () defining a third hang tab notch () therein, wherein the first, second and third hang tab. notches are generally aligned and the front card is sealed to the rear card to secure the flange and the hang tab reinforcement card therebetween. Various substrates may be used to form the packaging structure. The structure may be provided with internal or external coatings to provide strength, printability, and adhesion between the various parts.

Abstract:

The present invention relates to methods, devices and systems for associating consumable data with an assay consumable used in a biological assay. Provided are assay systems and associated consumables, wherein the assay system adjusts one or more steps of an assay protocol based on consumable data specific for that consumable. Various types of consumable data are described, as well as methods of using such data in the conduct of an assay by an assay system. The present invention also relates to consumables (e.g., kits and reagent containers), software, data deployable bundles, computer-readable media, loading carts, instruments, systems, and methods, for performing automated biological assays.
