Abstract:

A system for monitoring tire pressure and producing a first signal in the event that a low tire pressure condition has been sensed and a second, different signal in the event that a low tire pressure condition has not been sensed and a third signal in the event that the system is not operable. The system comprises a sensor for each tire and an associated transceiver antenna coil. Each sensor comprises a pressure switch and a circuit that has a first resonant frequency when the pressure switch is in a first state and a second, different resonant frequency when the switch is in a second state. An excited circuit associated with each transceiver antenna coil generates an AC electromagnetic field across the transceiver antenna coil and a detector circuit is operable to demodulate information communicated passively by the sensor that reflects its resonant frequency.

Abstract:

The present invention relates to an injection molding process that improves recovery limited productivity. The present invention advantageously applies pressurized fluid within the nozzle of an injection molding machine to improve the machine's productivity. In accordance with one aspect of the invention, an existing or new injection molding machine is outfitted with a pressurized fluid system at the nozzle between the plasticizer barrel and the melt manifold. The use of a specialized nozzle and isolation valve allows the pressurized fluid to displace material within the nozzle and runner, ensuring the proper pressure is applied to the plastic resin within the mold during pack and hold while the plasticizing screw can begin its recovery cycle. Finally, the pressurized fluid can be evacuated from the nozzle melt stream area either via the fluid entrance or a fluid pin.

Abstract:

A work vehicle has an operating cab, a power plant positioned adjacent to the operating cab, a pair of suspension members operable by the power plant and spaced apart in a lateral direction, and a load carrying member supported by the pair of suspension members. The vehicle further has an adjustable undercarriage frame that includes a housing having a predetermined shape and having a longitudinal axis thereof aligned with a longitudinal axis of the vehicle, the housing positioned intermediate the pair of suspension members, whereby each of the pair of suspension members is operatively mounted to a respective side of the housing. The adjustable undercarriage frame also provides for adjusting longitudinal position of the operating cab and the power plant and for adjusting lateral spacing between suspension members. Novel pivot assembly for rotating the load carrying member in order to discharge the load is also provided.

Abstract:

Internet, web-based platform that offers low cost advertising venue for companies and a convenient shopping venue for customers. The system includes storage capacity to store information on purchased and redeemed coupons, and includes logic to analyze the effectiveness of a marketing campaign based on statistical analysis of redeemed coupons relative to purchased coupons. One embodiment includes a system capable of automatically comparing and analyzing the customers' stored preferences with posted coupons, and automatically sending a listing of coupons that match the customer's preference by email, text message, or by any commercially available communication mode. Another embodiment includes a coupon sales revenue sharing function between the web site and the matched coupon company that credits both the web site's account and the company's account for each coupon sold, where the company's shared revenue portion can be limited.

The invention provides a system for notifying intended recipients, such as clinicians, about information or events of a medical enterprise, such as a hospital. The system includes an information processing system for receiving information as received information. A database stores the received information as stored information. A clinical event monitor employs the stored information for determining an event and generating a responsive message. A plurality of communication channels, such as e-mail or pager communication channels, may be employed to communicate the message. A notifier function cooperates with the clinical event monitor and selects one or more of the communication channels to communicate the message as a function of the type of message and a user's preference for one or more communication channels to communicate that message. The notifier function may include a database for storing the message types and preferences of the users, and may also include a graphical user interface for modifying the same. Associated method is also disclosed.

A safety architecture system includes, in one aspect, a first stage comprising a primary unit that generates primary data for performing normal system functionality; a secondary unit that generates secondary data for performing alternative system functionality; a primary safety gate coupled to the primary unit, with the primary safety gate providing the primary data as a primary output responsive to a determination of validity of the primary data; and a secondary safety gate coupled to the secondary unit, with the secondary safety gate providing the secondary data as a secondary output responsive to a determination of validity of the secondary data.
