Abstract:

Taught herein is a package for holding and securing various types of portable items. An inner slide card with integral tray () is loaded with items, and inserted into an outer sleeve (). Receiving apertures () and securing tabs () hold and secure the items in the tray. An engaging element (), integral to the slide card or tray cooperatively engages locking elements and stopping elements () integral to the outer sleeve. The cooperative engagement of the elements provides an optional child-resistant feature and an optional spill-resistant feature. A release button () integral to the outer sleeve disengages the child-resistant feature.

Abstract:

A blister and package system made of a blister card and an outer package with unique interacting locking mechanisms. The blister card or strip is inserted into the outer package or sleeve and locks immediately without having to further process the outer package or the blister card or strip. The user is able to expose the blisters from the outer package by disengaging the lock. The blister card or strip includes a formable, pliable sheet material, into which one or more individual cavities or blisters are formed. The separated cavities are loaded with product and sealed with one or more layers of puncturable or tearable sheet material, such as aluminum foil. The blister card or strip contains a plastic rivet assembly that forms an interference mechanism. The rivet is trapped by an internally formed panel and stopped by a catch flap included in the outer package.

Abstract:

A packaging blank is folded and secured to form a package that includes a blister pack disposed between panels of the packaging blank. Certain of the panels of the packaging blank include gates. The packaging blank is folded and secured such that the panels overlap and the gates align to define a composite gate structure. The composite gate structure is aligned with a blister of the blister pack to provide a child resistant barrier to an item contained therein. Alternative packages include a blister pack, two panels, and a composite gate structure; others include two panels, a composite gate structure, and a tear strip or other detachable portion.

Abstract:

A carton assembly has a carton having an interior that has inner walls defining a tray portion and an insert disposed within the tray portion for retaining an article within the interior of the carton. Either the tray portion or the insert, or both, include a receiving structure for supporting the insert. The insert may have a substantially hollow beam structure. The hollow beam structure of the insert has an open end that is engaged by a tab or tabs extending from an inner wall or walls of the carton. A center panel extends between each tab and the bottom wall of the carton and engages the open end of the hollow beam.
