Abstract:

Specific BRCA1 mutations, PCR primers and hybridization probes are used in nucleic acid-based methods for diagnostic of inheritable breast cancer susceptibility. Additionally, binding agents, such as antibodies, specific for peptides encoded by the subject BRCA1 mutants are used to identify expression products of diagnostic mutations/rare alleles in patient derived fluid or tissue samples. Compositions with high binding affinity for transcription or translation products of the disclosed BRCA1 mutations and alleles are used in therapeutic intervention. Such products include anti-sense nucleic acids, peptides encoded by the subject nucleic acids, and binding agents such as antibodies, specific for such peptides.

Abstract:

A digital signal processing apparatus and method for executing a block cipher routine. A method includes configuring a portion of an array of independently reconfigurable processing elements for performing the block cipher routine. The method further includes executing the block cipher routine on data blocks received at the configured portion of the array of processing elements. The non-configured portion of the array can be shut down to conserve power. An apparatus includes a context memory for storing one or more context instructions for performing the block cipher routine. The apparatus further includes an array of independently reconfigurable processing elements, each of which is responsive to a context instruction for being configured to execute a portion of the block cipher routine.

Abstract:

A system and method for enabling sensitive authentication information to be under the control of the service provider and transmitting only non-sensitive authentication information to the AC, for providing a secure technique for generating sensitive authentication information and for securely transmitting to and storing the information in the mobile system (MS) and a storage device controlled by the service provider, and for enabling a mobile station to utilize features supported by the visited system even if the MS home system does not support the feature. The present invention utilizes a secure authentication center (SAC) and a secure A-key management system (SAMS) to perform authentication. The SAC can be positioned locally in a home system, or it can be centrally located, for example, between systems. The SAC can be connected to many SAMS.
