Abstract:

Aqueous coating compositions that contain two non-fluorinated and silicon-free hydrocarbon-based surfactants are provided. The hydrocarbon-based surfactants are alkylated acetylenic diols. These aqueous coating compositions are useful as floor finishes and polishes.

Abstract:

A water-based coating composition that is particularly suited as a floor coating. The composition is an aqueous two-part or two-component polyurethane system, having a water-dispersible polyisocyanate component and a hard cyclic diol component. The composition may be applied over a primer coating. The composition can be applied as a fairly thin coating, e.g., less than 127 micrometers (5 mils) thick, and provides a suitable coating with one coat. The composition, when coated onto a surface such as a floor, can be cured under ambient conditions. The resulting coating provides a durable coating with high gloss.

Abstract:

An applicator system, including an application head, for applying a coating composition onto a surface, such as a floor. The head is particularly suited for applying a consistent thin coating, such as coating less than 5 mil thick, on the surface, following the gross contours of the surface. The coating can be a two-component or two-part system, and can have a high solids level. The head is suited for applying a coating composition with an applicator system that includes a multi-compartment plastic bag or pouch, to separate individual components of the coating composition prior to reacting the individual components together to form the coating composition, the pouch having internal seals that are readily and controllably rupturable.

Abstract:

In an example, a system includes a first controller for controlling a first-flight-control surface, a second controller for controlling a second-flight-control surface, and a first override system including a mechanical linkage between the first controller and the second controller. The first override system is configured such that: (i) while less than a first threshold amount of force is applied to the mechanical linkage, movement of the first controller causes a corresponding movement of the second controller and vice versa, and (ii) while greater than the first threshold amount of force is applied to the mechanical linkage, the first controller and the second controller move separately. The system also includes a second override system operable to permanently disconnect the mechanical linkage responsive to greater than a second threshold amount of force applied to the mechanical linkage. The second threshold amount of force is greater than the first threshold amount of force.
