Abstract:

A process for depositing a substantially pure, conformal metal layer on one or more substrates through the decomposition of a metal-containing precursor. During this deposition process, the substrate(s) is maintained at a temperature greater than the decomposition temperature of the precursor while the surrounding atmosphere is maintained at a temperature lower than the decomposition temperature of the precursor. The precursor is dispersed within a transport medium, e. g. , a vapor phase. The concentration of the metal-containing precursor(s) in the vapor phase, which also contains liquid therein, can be at a level to provide conditions at or near saturation for the metal precursor(s). In ensuring the aforementioned temperature control between the transport media and substrate, and in maintaining saturation conditions for the transport media, the quality of the deposited metal thin film is markedly improved and the production of by-product metal dust is greatly reduced or substantially eliminated.

Abstract:

Selectively rebooting components of a computer system. One or more tables which list respective costs to reboot the components and respective likelihoods that reboots of the respective components will correct respective problems with the computer system are generated. Each of the costs is based on a time to reboot or delays caused by the reboot of the respective component. In response to a subsequent problem with the computer system, an order to reboot components of the computer system is determined from the table based on the costs and likelihoods that the reboot will correct the problem, such that a component of the computer system characterized by a relatively low cost and high likelihood to correct the problem will be rebooted before another component characterized by a relatively high cost and low likelihood to correct the problem. The tables are updated through actual experience.

Polymethylaluminoxane compositions having increased solution stability in organic solvent and, in some cases, increased polymerization activity, which comprise moieties derived from an organic compound containing an electron-rich heteroatom (e. g. , from Group V and/or Group VI of the Periodic Table) and a hydrocarbyl moiety. These compositions can be formed by reaction of trimethylaluminum, the organic compound, and water. They can also be formed by reaction of pre-formed polymethylaluminoxane the organic compound, which can be a hydrocarbyl group-containing compound containing an electron-rich heteroatom (e. g. , oxygen, nitrogen, or sulfur), either with or without an active hydrogen atom connected to the heteroatom. The organic compound, in some embodiments, has also been found to be effective in increasing the catalytic activity of modified polymethylaluminoxane which, in addition to methyl, contain C. sub. 2 and higher alkyl groups for enhanced solution stability.

Abstract:

A control system for a power generation system includes a generator coupled to a turbine via a shaft. The control system includes a memory storing instructions. The control system also includes a processor coupled to the memory and configured to execute the instructions. When the instructions are executed it causes the processor to receive a direct current (DC)-link voltage from an automatic voltage regulator (AVR), wherein the AVR is configured to control voltage characteristics of the generator, and to determine a speed of the generator based on the DC-link voltage.

In one embodiment, the system includes one or more electrical components associated with turbomachinery, and the one or more electrical components are disposed within two or more interior compartments of an electrical enclosure. The system also includes a cooling system coupled to the electrical enclosure. The cooling system includes one or more air ducts configured to direct a cooling air to each interior compartment of the two or more interior compartments. The cooling system also includes a controller configured to route cooling air to each interior compartment via the one or more air ducts. The controller is configured to independently regulate a thermal environment for each interior compartment of the two or more interior compartments.
