Abstract:

A fabric for a covering for architectural openings is comprised of a laminate having at least one layer of yarns having at least two different yarn materials that are deployed in parallel closely adjacent or contiguous relationship and integrated with a coating of adhesive. One or more layers of a nonwoven fabric are bonded to one or both surfaces of the yarn layer so that the laminate fabric has two or more layers including a layer of parallel yarns. The yarns can be made of different materials as well as different sizes and weights to vary the characteristics of the fabric.

Abstract:

The present disclosure relates to an aqueous microcapsule composition comprising a plurality of microcapsule particles, a film-forming mixture, and an aqueous solvent. Each microcapsule particle comprises a sol-gel material and a volatile oil-soluble active ingredient encapsulated by the sol-gel material. The film-forming mixture of the present disclosure extends the efficacy of the volatile oil-soluble active ingredient encapsulated in the microcapsule particles by improving the adherence of the microcapsule particles to the substance to which the aqueous microcapsule composition is applied (e.g., a keratinous substance or a fabric). The aqueous microcapsule composition of the instant disclosure—which is free of formaldehyde and stable in aqueous solvents—is well-suited for use in aqueous personal care products.

The present disclosure is directed to a cosmetic composition for controlling perspiration and odor. Despite being free of volatile silicones—which have garnered a bad reputation due to their ecotoxicity and bioaccumulability in aquatic species—the composition of the instant disclosure replicates the textural and sensorial benefits provided by the use of volatile silicones like cyclotetrasiloxane, cyclopentasiloxane and cyclohexasiloxane.
