Abstract:

Methods and apparatus are disclosed for updating displayed representations of data. The methods and apparatus include displaying an input component to receive query criteria based on one or more data fields displayed in charts, receiving the query criteria in a single request from the input component, updating queries associated with chart displays to include the query criteria, executing the queries, and updating the charts based upon results of executing the queries. The query criteria may include a data value associated with the data field. The query criteria may include a condition based upon the data fields, and can be added to conditional expressions in the queries. Updating the charts may include displaying graphical chart elements that are proportional in size to values of the data fields of the results of executing the plurality of queries.

Abstract:

A set of contact lenses for use in preventing or slowing the development or progression of myopia, methods of manufacturing and using such lenses. Each lens includes an optic zone and a surrounding peripheral zone that has a varying thickness profile that is configured to control rotation of the lens. The optic zone comprises a central region having a curvature providing a base power. An annular region circumferentially surrounds the central region and comprises a treatment zone having a characteristic that reduces the contrast of an image that is formed by light passing through the central region and the treatment zone compared to an image of an object that would be formed by light passing through only the central region. The treatment zone is rotationally positioned, relative to the peripheral zone thickness profile, at a different angle about the optic axis in each lens in the set of lenses.

An ophthalmic lens for use in preventing or slowing the development or progression of myopia. The lens has a first optical axis. A first surface of the lens is shaped to form a first surface power map. A second surface of the lens is shaped to form a second surface power map. The first and second surface power maps together form a lens power map. One of the first surface power map, the second surface power map, and the lens power map comprises: a base region and a myopia control region. The base region has a base power which focusses light to a focal point that is on the first optical axis. The myopia control region comprises a spiral shape and focusses light to a plurality of focal points that are offset from the first optical axis. Also a method of manufacturing such an ophthalmic lens.

Abstract:

A heat dissipating and optically efficient LED high bay light bar which may be used as part of a complete retrofit system for a variety of linear fluorescent light fixtures. The LED high bay light bar comprises an elongate channel member which is preferably fabricated from extruded aluminum. In addition to the channel member, the LED high bay light bar comprises a high-efficacy set of LEDs, which are preferably provided in the form of an elongate LED printed circuit board (PCB) or strip mechanically bonded to the channel member. The channel member is outfitted with fins and other surface features uniquely configured to provide superior heat dissipation, thus allowing the channel member to effectively function as a heat sink for the LED strip cooperatively engaged thereto. The channel member is configured to define an air flow cavity under the LED strip as allows for the effective dissipation of heat during operation of the LED light bar. The channel member also includes a parabolic reflector portion which is itself uniquely configured to provide optimal light emission/distribution characteristics.
