Abstract:

A processor bus bridge includes a buffer space disposed between a first bus and a second bus. The first bus is operated in a first mode by a first processor and the second bus is operated in a second mode by a second processor. The first bus has an electrical structure which is different from the electrical structure of the second bus. The first mode may also differ from the second mode. The processor bus bridge has a protocol logic module disposed between the first processor and the second processor for controlling data transfer across the buffer space in the first and second modes. Thus, the bus bridge enables communications between dissimilar processor buses while increasing performance and reducing CPU overhead.

Risk-based method for assessing an automotive finance company's equity adequacy wherein sources of creditor protection comprises equity, reserves, net deferred tax liability in the event of an overall loss, future tax liability and lifetime profits. Abstract:

A document processing system includes a feeder stage and a transport stage. The document track assembly includes at least one feedback section forming a document return path that extends from an exit point at one part of the document track to a reentry point at another part of the document track further back, upstream. The document track assembly is configured to allow the selective rerouting of a document through the document return path to make a repeat pass through a processing station located between the document track reentry point and the document track exit point. This provides increased reliability in document processing, particularly when processing involves checks, obtaining electronic images of checks, and check truncation.

An automated document processing apparatus comprising a detector; a plurality of pockets; and a pocket selector gate assembly which causes a document being processed by the apparatus to be routed to one of the plurality of pockets based on information read from the document by the detector, the route of the document being determined by the position of a pocket selector gate, the pocket selector gate position being controlled by a motor which is mechanically coupled to the pocket selector gate, the mechanical coupling being such that, when the pocket selector gate is in a first position, the pocket selector gate is locked in place even after the motor has been deenergized. The mechanical coupling may be achieved by way of a link arm and pin, the pin mating with the link arm and engaging a mating slot of the pocket selector gate.

Abstract:

A multiple document feed detection system, such as for use in an automatic document processing system, is disclosed. The multiple document feed detection system includes a plurality of light sources oriented to direct light across a path of travel of documents. The system also includes a plurality of photodetectors placed adjacent to the path of travel, with each photodetector placed on an opposite side of the path of travel from a corresponding light source and oriented toward the corresponding light source. The plurality of photodetectors is configured to detect transmissivity of light emitted from the light sources through documents passing through the path of travel. The system further includes a signal detection and voting module interconnected with the light sources and the phototransistors, the signal detection and voting module configured to detect the presence of the overlapping documents passing through the path of travel.
