Abstract:
Methods and computer program products are disclosed for generating and viewing a content listing or âtable of contentsâ for a report with page-level security based in part on data breaks in the report. The content listing is derived from a content list structure containing multiple data items where a data item represents a content group. A data item is retrieved from the content list structure and contains a page range. It is then determined whether any pages in the report that the user is authorized to view are in the page range. It is then determined whether the data item should be in the content listing. In this manner, a table of contents in which data in the report viewable by a user has a corresponding content line entry in the content listing.

Abstract:
Methods and computer program products are disclosed for generating and viewing an electronic report having security features that allow for “virtual bursting” of the report for multiple users. A single report having multiple pages is generated such that each or some of the pages have security tags that are compared to a security identifier list of a particular user that acts as a security clearance for that user. Through this comparison, a subset of pages from the report is formed which makes up a “report” from the user's point of view that contains only data the user is allowed to see. This allows multiple users to view only authorized portions of a single report having page-level security determined by level breaks in the data.
Methods And Apparatus For Operating Production Facilities
A method and apparatus for operating a production system that includes a plurality of production facilities is provided. The method includes receiving, in real-time, for each facility, cost data for a first resource used by each respective facility to produce an output, receiving, in real-time, for each facility, cost data for a second resource used by each respective facility to produce the output, determining, in real-time; an automated incremental cost curve for the system based on a level of production of each facility and the received resource cost data, and determining a production output target for each production facility to achieve an optimum production system output based on the real-time incremental cost curves. The system includes at least one production facility that includes a software code segment programmed to determine, in real-time, an incremental cost of a first resource based on a level of production of each respective facility.

Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for supporting an additional data source in a system adapted for processing data from one or more data sources are disclosed. A design-time driver for the additional data source is obtained, where the design-time driver supports the definition of data including one or more fields of the additional data source to retrieve from the additional data source. In addition, a run-time driver for the additional data source is obtained, where the run-time driver supports retrieval of data corresponding to the one or more fields from the additional data source and where the run-time driver has a second application programming interface. The design-time driver is executed via a first application programming interface, where the first application programming interface enables definition of the data including the one or more fields to be retrieved from the additional data source. The data is then retrieved from the additional data source via the run-time driver using the second application programming interface.
Method And Apparatus For Automatically Determining The Phase Relationship Between Two Clocks Generated From The Same Source
A method and apparatus automatically determines a phase-based relationship between two clocks generated from the same source. In accordance with the present invention, a clock generator provides a clock signal to a sending IC and a receiving IC. The sending IC transmits data to the receiving IC over a data bus, and provides a strobe signal that is delayed by 1/4 of a cycle of the internal clock of the sending IC to validate data at the receiving IC. The phase relationship between the strobe signal and the internal clock of receiving IC is initially unknown. Within the receiving IC, the strobe signal is used to form four round robin clock signals that clock data into four flip flops using a round robin scheme. Each of the round robin flip flops has a valid read window, and pair of multiplexors route the outputs of the round robin flip flops to a pair of flip flops that are clocked using internal clocks of the receiving IC. A select signal in the clock domain of the receiving IC is provided to the pair of multiplexors.

Abstract:
An electrical interface connects a conductive pins to a printed circuit board. The electrical interface includes an elastomer holder having a plurality of holes. Elastomer conductors are placed in the plurality of holes within the elastomer holder. The elastomer holder is then attached to the printed circuit board so that each elastomer conductor comes into contact with a conductive pad on the printed circuit board. The conductive pins are placed in electrical contact with the elastomer conductors, for example, through a conductive socket. In the preferred embodiment the elastomer holder is composed of printed circuit board material. Before the elastomer holder is connected to the printed circuit board, the elastomer conductors are held in the holes in the elastomer holder using a throw-away retainer.

Abstract:
A method is disclosed for persistently storing in an object-oriented format various pieces of information required to display and search a report. The information is stored in a logical hierarchy including multiple "level break" objects at a first level. Similar level break objects may be provided at a second level of the hierarchy, and at a third level, etc. Level breaks represent divisions between parallel report entities, and the level breaks at a "first level" divide report entities which can not be further segregated into discrete groups. In general, the objects representing level breaks include general information about an entity such as the entity's name and location, or report totals associated with that entity. In the hierarchy, each level break object at the first level may reference one or more level break objects at the second level, and, in addition, may reference objects representing the visual regions (or "frames") in which report information pertaining to the first level entity is displayed. The frame objects, in turn, each contain various "control objects" which describe the formatting, size, and other associated information pertaining to the display of frames.

commonly, aspen and some other tree species reproduce by sending out sprouts from their roots, which grow up through the soil into entire new trees. The exact amount of time it took the Pando grove to reach its modern extent is unknown, says Paul Rogers, an ecologist at Utah State University in Logan.
