Soho pub shuts its doors hours before gay kissing protest
Paul Shetler, who had organised the event on Facebook, was delighted with the response to his call for a kiss-in. "They were humiliated in a way that nobody should be humiliated and that's why we're here," he said.
The kiss-in's organiser, a 50-year-old manager named Paul Shetler, said he first heard about the incident through Twitter. Shetler, who is originally from New York, said the incident "struck me as the kind of thing I would see in a small town in the States, not in the capital of the UK".
