Abstract:

The system of the preferred embodiments includes a first rotational element, a second rotational element, and a therapeutic source coupled to the rotational elements. The system permits simultaneous attachment to and movement around a surface of tissue, preferably during an ablation procedure (either during lesion creation or between lesion creation events), or during any other suitable procedure. The therapeutic source functions to translate along the path of tissue and deliver therapy as the first and second rotational elements rotate and roll along the path of tissue. The therapeutic source preferably delivers contiguous doses of therapy along the path of tissue. The system is preferably designed for delivering therapy to tissue and, more specifically, for delivering therapy to cardiac tissue. The system, however, may be alternatively used in any suitable environment and for any suitable reason.

A method is provided that includes providing a monitoring apparatus including one or more modules within a target cavity or lumen of a body. The one or more modules are provided within the target cavity or lumen in a first state in which the monitoring apparatus is configured to remain within the target cavity or lumen. The method further includes monitoring physiological conditions of the body using one or more sensors within the one or more modules, and providing the one or more modules in a second state in which the monitoring apparatus is configured to exit the target cavity or lumen.

Abstract:

A device completely disposable within a bodily lumen of a patient and for controlling flow through the bodily lumen having a device body having a proximal end, a distal end and a device lumen within the device body extending from the proximal end to the distal end and a fixation element extending from the outer wall of device body adapted and configured to engage with the wall of the bodily lumen. The device body is adapted and configured to move from a position where the device lumen blocks flow through the bodily lumen to a position where the device lumen allows flow through the bodily lumen. In other configurations, there are one or more valves within the device lumen adapted and configured to move between a position to block flow through the bodily lumen and a position to allow flow through the bodily lumen. There is also a method for implanting a device within a body lumen by placing a device having a device body and fixation elements extending from the device body on a catheter and then dilating the body lumen such that the device body and the fixation elements may advance through the dilated body lumen without the fixation elements engaging the wall of the body lumen. Next, advancing the device to an implant site within the body lumen and then engaging the walls of the body lumen with the fixation elements.

In one example, the force input sensor and the haptic actuator are accommodated on a frame positioned below an input surface. A computing system may involve a time-series server device and computing devices. The time-series server device may be configured to: receive and store pre-defined trigger configurations; receive and store time-series data, wherein the pre-defined trigger configurations define states and/or state transitions for the received time-series data; apply, by way of a trigger engine, the pre-defined trigger configurations to the received time-series data to determine observed states and/or state transitions in the time-series data; and store, in transition storage, representations of the observed states and/or state transitions. One or more applications operating on computing devices may be configured to: transmit the pre-defined trigger configurations to the time-series server; transmit a stream of the time-series data to the time-series server; and repeatedly poll and receive, by way of a plurality of worker threads, the representations of the observed states and/or state transitions from the transition storage.

Abstract:

According to some embodiments, an accessory device for interacting with an electronic device having a touch sensitive surface, is described. The accessory device can include a housing having walls suitable for carrying a processor capable of providing instructions and an interface unit extending through an opening at a distal end of the housing, where the interface unit is capable of interacting with the touch sensitive surface. The accessory device can further include a sensor in communication with the processor and the interface unit, where the sensor is capable of (i) detecting a stimulus generated by the interaction between the interface unit and the touch sensitive surface, and (ii) responding by providing a feedback parameter to the processor that responds by providing a feedback instruction. The accessory device can further include a feedback component that responds to the feedback instruction by transmitting a feedback force to the walls of the housing.

Abstract:

Embodiments are directed to a keyboard or other input structure having a continuous fiber material. In one aspect, the continuous fiber material is disposed in a layered fiber pattern under tension. The continuous fiber material is continuous in that it is not broken or severed within the webbing. Heat and pressure are then applied to form a structural web. The resulting structural web may be stronger than a webbing of conventional materials yet with reduced relative weight.
