Abstract:

An improved wine rack having a plurality of vertical standards for supporting cantilevered bottle holders. The bottle holders interlockingly engage the standards and are consecutively spaced in horizontal rows and in vertical alignment to form bottle berths adapted for accommodating a wide range of bottle shapes and sizes. The confronting edges of adjacent coplanar bottle holders provide cooperative cradling surfaces for laterally supporting therebetween a bottle resting on its side.

Abstract:

Apparatus and method for sensing, recognizing, displaying, processing and storing motion generated symbolic information including a hand held, mark-forming writing instrument having motion sensing means and a wrist mounted display communicating with the writing instrument through character recognition circuitry to simultaneously display information formed by the writing instrument. An information control and storage circuit is included capable of operating in any one of several possible modes to receive, store and cause the display of information thereby permitting a multiplicity of functions heretofor requiring a vastly greater number of physical components. In particular, this highly portable apparatus readily and broadly compliments the kinesiology of writing instruments and composures that accompany human thinking and problem solving. The operational modes include horological display, data calculation, reminder message storage and display, and financial account storage.

Abstract:

Breathable residual-limb system that admits air and allows sweat to evaporate from the surface of the residual limb. In an embodiment, the system comprises a liner sock to be worn on the residual limb, and comprising air-permeable textile forming a substantially cylindrical portion that is closed on a distal end and open on a proximal end and comprising an internal surface and an external surface. The liner sock further comprises a friction-interface material that covers only a portion of the internal surface of the air-permeable textile, such that, when worn on the residual limb, the friction-interface material contacts a surface of the residual limb, and an uncovered portion of the air-permeable textile which the friction-interface material does not cover allows air to pass between an external environment of the liner sock and the surface of the residual limb.
