Abstract:
An electrode for an iontophoretic drug delivery system includes a retainer having a malleable characteristic. The retainer and a conductor are connected to a platform. The conductor and a dose controller are electrically coupled to the iontophoretic drug delivery system. A drug delivery matrix is operably connected to the platform and proximate the conductor wherein the conductor, the drug delivery matrix, and the dose controller cooperate to deliver a drug to a user when the electrode is affixed to the user and operably connected to the iontophoretic drug delivery system.

Between the closed and open ends of a receptacle is a barrier traversable by a coating material. The barrier separates the receptacle into a coating material reservoir at the closed end and a receiving pocket at the open end configured to enclose an applicator of the coating material or an article to be covered with the coating material. The open end has a selectively resealable closure. A lower compartment and an upper compartment with a selectively resealable upper end communicate through a sieve traversable by the coating material and impassable to applicator or article. A flexible front wall is continuously sealed to a flexible back wall along a contiguous series of edges that terminates in spaced-apart ends on opposite sides of an opening into an interior space between the front and back walls in which a sieve secures the front and back walls.

Abstract:
Embodiments of iontophoretic devices are disclosed which may include a reservoir; a roller-ball applicator coupled to the reservoir and configured to dispense contents of the reservoir; a power supply; a first electrode electrically coupled to a pole of the power supply; and a second electrode coupled to the other pole of the power supply. The devices may be configured such that a current travels between the first electrode and the second electrode through the skin of a subject when the device is used.

Abstract:
An improved iontophoretic bioelectrode constructed with a novel access window that conveniently allows a clinician direct access to the drug reservoir without prematurely exposing the adhesive layer. The access window is a partial cut out or perforation of a release liner that, when opened, only reveals the drug reservoir to the clinician while the remainder of the release liner simultaneously remains protectively covering the adhesive layer.

Abstract:
An electrode connector for securely holding a thin flexible electrode. The electrode connector includes a bottom jaw member and an upper jaw member that are selectively movable between an open position and a closed position. The upper jaw member and the bottom jaw member are biased into a closed position. The electrode connector includes an electrical contact assembly configured to provide electrical contact with the flexible electrode. The electrical contact assembly comprises a contact platform and a contact pin attached thereto. The contact platform is configured to form an electrical contact with the contact area of the flexible electrode. The contact pin is sized and configured to be at least partially disposed in the aperture formed in the flexible electrode such that upon the upperjaw member and the lower jaw member moving to the closed position electrical contact is formed and maintained with the contact area of the flexible electrode without permanently deforming the contact area thereof. The electrical contact assembly further comprises a recess formed opposite the contact pin that is sized and configured to receive both the contact pin disposed in the aperture of the flexible electrode and a portion of the contact area of the flexible electrode. The contact assembly is configured such that disposing the contact pin in the aperture in the flexible electrode provides a visual indicator to medical personnel that the contact assembly and the flexible electrode are correctly aligned so as to form an electrical contact.

Abstract:
A roll of body wrap material is provided. The body wrap material may carry a medicament useful in addressing undesirable or unsightly human body fat. The body wrap material carries a conductive material used to establish an electric circuit for iontophoretic treatment. An area of a human body is wrapped with the body wrap material. An electric circuit is established from the medicament in the wrap, the conductive matter, human skin, and a power source. When the circuit is powered, ions of the medicament in the wrap are driven throught the human skin in the circuit in order to provide a treatment to the body fat beneath such skin.
