Colorado State loses 34-10 at TCU, out of bowl picture
CSU did have a bright spot when Grayson scrambled right and threw back to his left, hitting running back Raymond Carter on a 66-yard touchdown pass. It was the first touchdown pass of Grayson's career, and pulled CSU within 27-10.
Quarterback Pete Thomas was not sharp on a day he most needed to be. On CSU's second drive, Thomas missed running back Raymond Carter on a play that would have at least netted significant yardage, if not a score. On the third drive Thomas missed wide receiver Lou Greenwood, who was streaking down tColorado State did not pick up a first down in four first quarter drives, and went five drives overall before the Rams moved the yardsticks once on their sixth. And when they finally did on a six yard run by Raymond Carter with 12:21 left in the second quarter he fumbled on the next play.
