  • International Classification:
    B64D 4502
  • US Classification:
    244 1A
  • Abstract:
A charge control apparatus for a flightcraft uses an inherent droplet charging mechanism to remove unwanted charge from the distal portion of a reference body mechanically connected to, and external to the craft, and a driven ion attachment mechanism to adjust the potential of the craft to that of the reference.
  • Vehicle Wheel Assembly Having Shearable Tire Latching Rings

    view source
  • US Patent:
    41845315, Jan 22, 1980
  • Filed:
    Jan 12, 1977
  • Appl. No.:
    5/758905
  • Inventors:
Richard F. Honigsbaum - Passaic NJ
  • International Classification:
    B60C 1502
  • US Classification:
    1523791
  • Abstract:
Improved assembly for removably securing an inflatable tire about a vehicle wheel includes a latching ring disposed in a circumferential receiving groove in the bead seat of the wheel adjacent the inner face of the tire bead. The latching ring includes a portion protruding above the bead seat for retaining the tire in place and a portion shearable by a force applied to the outwardly facing surface of the tire bead in excess of the force encountered during rotation of the vehicle wheel, whereby the tire may be removed without damage upon shearing of the shearable portion.

  • International Classification:
    G01S 1356
  • US Classification:
    342 13
  • Abstract:
Stealthcraft are detected by illuminating backgrounds with narrow radar or sonar beams and monitoring this background illumination for the changes that result when these beams are absorbed by such targets, and are ranged by triangulation using two such beams.

  • Smoke-Incinerating Woodstove

    view source
  • US Patent:
    46467130, Mar 3, 1987
  • Filed:
    Mar 14, 1983
  • Appl. No.:
    6/475357
  • Inventors:
Richard F. Honigsbaum - Passaic NJ

    F24B 500
    F24C 108
  • US Classification:
    126 79
  • Abstract:
An improved process of the type wherein a fuel is first pyrolyzed in a chamber and the resulting volatiles and non-volatiles then transferred to a combustion region for burning, the improvement comprising temporarily storing at least a portion of the volatiles in an enclosure spaced from the chamber and the combustion region when volatiles production exceeds the volatiles incineration capability of the combustion region. Apparatus for carrying out the method of the invention is also disclosed.
  • Hermetic Clutch

    view source
  • US Patent:
    41974743, Apr 8, 1980
  • Filed:
    Sep 19, 1977
  • Appl. No.:
    5/834529
  • Inventors:
Richard F. Honigsbaum - Passaic NJ
  • International Classification:
    H02K 4900
  • US Classification:
    310104
  • Abstract:
An improved hermetic clutch for driving a shaft and adapted for securement to a non-rotating supporting structure includes first and second elongate annular members, the second being concentrically disposed within the first with the shaft coupled to one of the members for rotation therewith. Means are provided for electromagnetically coupling the members for imparting rotation to the one member upon mechanical rotation of the other. The assembly also includes a "can"-shaped hermetic seal disposed between the two members and fixedly secured at its open end to the supporting structure, and means mechanically coupled to the stationary support and the seal for preloading the seal in axial tension to enhance the structural integrity thereof. Means are also provided for supporting each of the members for rotation relative to the seal, and for maintaining concentricity therebetween.
  • Antitank-Antipersonnel Weapon

    view source
  • US Patent:
    49762028, Dec 11, 1990
  • Filed:
    May 31, 1988
  • Appl. No.:
    7/200702
  • Inventors:
Richard F. Honigsbaum - Passaic NJ
  • International Classification:
    F42B 1346
  • US Classification:
    102367
  • Abstract:
The antitank-antipersonnel weapons of this invention are synergistic combinations of lens-compromising agents, radar-compromising agents, and human irritants. The lens-compromising agents opaque the external lenses of tank periscopes and gunsights, and the radar-compromising agents block radar signals, forcing tank crews to navigate tanks and aim weapons by direct observation through open hatches, and to don "gas" masks for protection against the human irritants. The lenses of protective masks are also opaqued by the weapons of this invention, and when they are, tanks, tank crews, and other personnel are functionally blind and unable to fight.
