September, 1977 through June, 1988 was a period of recovery, rehabilitation, and reeducation due to a spinal cord injury causing paralysis. One year was spent in Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona where I received physical and occupational therapy in an inpatient setting. Another year of outpatient occupational and physical therapy was received at Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital, Las Vegas, Nevada. I attended school after those two years. In 1983 I moved to California to continue my education at California Baptist University, Riverside, California. My education was completed in 1988 and I began working as a Marriage Family Child Counselor Intern in 1987. I continued in this career, eventually opening up a private practice in Las Vegas, Nevada..
