Disclosed is a media package that includes a media tray assembly and a protective cover. The media tray assembly includes at least one media-carrying component and a first latching element. The protective cover is configured to receive the media tray assembly and has a second latching element that engages the first latching element, thereby securing the media tray assembly with the protective cover.

Abstract:

A disposable medicinal application apparatus for use in the administration of a medicinal fluid comprises sealed flexible bag means at least partially filled with a quantity of the fluid to be applied. The apparatus has a neck piece freely enclosed within the sealed bag means, the neck piece being manipulable against the interior surface of a portion of the bag means and the bag wall being stretched over the neck piece. A separate applicator member has a passage in communication with discharge means. Cooperative locking and lockable means are formed on the applicator member and the neck piece, respectively, to allow the applicator member to be snap-fitted and locked to the neck piece, with the bore of the neck piece and the passage of the applicator member in alignment. A portion of the bag wall is compressed between the exterior surface of the neck piece and the interior surface of the applicator member to form a fluid-tight seal therebetween. A portion of the applicator member comprises means for puncturing the bag wall to allow egress of the medicinal fluid through the aligned bore and passage of the cooperatively locked neck piece and applicator member.

Abstract:

A package structure for a recording medium or other items is composed of a plastic support frame and a laminated flexible body. The package structure consists of a molded plastic frame having two sections forming the lid and the base of the package, separated by a hinge which allows the lid and base sections to fold together to close the package. In a preferred embodiment, the package body is formed of a folded paperboard blank. The plastic frame is slotted at opposite ends to allow the paperboard blank to extend through the frame from outside to inside. The blank is folded at the slots, and is folded onto itself to form the surfaces of the package. The frame is formed with recesses adapted to receive the body surfaces to protect the surfaces and the edges of the outer body surfaces. The portions of the body which respectively form the inner and outer surfaces of the lid, and the inner and outer surfaces of the base are secured together and/or to the corresponding frame section. A portion of the body overlies, but is not secured to the frame hinge so that the two move separately when the package opens and closes.
