Abstract:

The combination of a base, with which at least one sheet layer can be operatively supported to be cut, a guide assembly, and a cutting blade assembly. The cutting blade assembly includes first and second cutting blades. The cutting blade assembly is selectively changeable between a) a first state wherein the first cutting blade is in a first operative position and the second cutting blade is in a first inactive position, and b) a second state wherein the second cutting blade is in a second operative position and the first cutting blade is in a second inactive position. The cutting blade assembly cooperates with the guide assembly to be movable guidingly in a cutting path.

A black panel assembly for use in an accelerated weathering test device having a specimen table includes a platform disposed on the specimen table, the platform including a plurality of standoffs and a mounting surface, wherein the plurality of standoffs elevate the mounting surface relative to the specimen table. The black panel assembly additionally includes a black panel having an exposure side and a mounting side, wherein the black panel is mounted on the platform from the mounting side. Abstract:

The combination of a sheet cutting apparatus and a tool. The sheet cutting apparatus has a base with a surface for supporting a sheet material operatively positioned upon the base. A rail assembly on the base has a length. The sheet cutting apparatus further includes a blade assembly. The blade assembly has an operative state in which the blade assembly is movable guidingly in a cutting path along the length of the rail assembly to make a cut in a sheet material operatively positioned upon the base, and is repositionable relative to the rail assembly from the operative state into a separated state. The tool is operable by a user to facilitate repositioning of the blade assembly from the operative state into the separated state.

Abstract:

In one form of the present invention, the operation of reducing hard water to soft is controlled via integrated circuits and software. In combination as a computer control unit, the integrated circuits and software control a valve that supports the cycles used in softening water. The invention reduces the complexity of the setup and operation of a water softener using four simple keys in conjunction with the computer control unit. In addition to these four simple keys, a hidden key is also provided for internal use in manufacturing and servicing operations. The hidden key may have no graphic or identity on the interface panel of the computer control unit, or it may have some graphic not indicative of a key. When depressed along with other keys, this hidden key offers a way to access special operations such as data input and output.

Methods and apparatus for accurate service life prediction by exposing a test specimen to operating parameters of a multi-variable micro-environment cycle in an accelerated weathering test apparatus including an irradiance source, a temperature adjustment source and a moisture adjustment source connected to a controller to: expose the test specimen to the operating parameters of the multi-variable micro-environment cycle recreated in the test chamber; monitor the exposure of the test specimen to the multi-variable micro-environment cycle to generate run-time variables; and adjust the run-time variables to reconcile to the operating parameters.
