Abstract:

The present invention relates to a method, processes and system that allows thermal insulating and waterproofing of temporary and/or portable structures in such a manner that the underlying structures are insulated and waterproofed. Moreover, this system provides a rigid outer structure which allows the underlying structure to be removed and reused after the insulation and waterproofing system has been installed, leaving behind a rigid, insulated and waterproof physical structure.

Abstract:

An improved process for the preparation of 3-(4-lithiosulfophenoxy)-1,2-propanediol relatively free from inorganic impurities is represented wherein the subject material is made by reacting lithiosulfophenol with either glycerol monochlorhydrin or epichlorohydrin in aqueous solution in the presence of an alkaline calcium compound and thereafter purifying by removing the calcium sulfate and hydrochloric acid from the aqueous reaction media. The subject material can be obtained at purities of 98% in yields exceeding 70%.

Abstract:

A volatile corrosion inhibitor detection device includes a coupling configured to couple to a system configured to be closed, and a housing in fluid communication with the coupling and containing an indicator element configured to visually change upon contact with volatile corrosion inhibitor. A bendable and crushable portion of the housing contains the indicator element and further contains an indicator capillary, the indicator capillary contains indicator fluid, and the indicator element and the indicator capillary are arranged such that, upon breaking of the indicator capillary by bending or crushing a portion of the housing, the indicator fluid is released from the indicator capillary and reaches the indicator element to render the indicator element sensitive to volatile corrosion inhibitor, thereby providing an indication upon contact with the volatile corrosion Inhibitor.
