Abstract:

A mobile network infrastructure or platform for applications, personalized user interfaces and services is disclosed. The mobile platform provides a plurality of applications and services to subscribers or end-users of mobile or wireless devices. The platform allows the subscribers or end-users to personalize the look-and-feel of the mobile desktop and user interfaces. The mobile platform includes a server infrastructure linked to a plurality of client infrastructures via a communication link. The server infrastructure includes a database server configured to store data, a file storage configured to store the mobile platform's operating system, a Web server configured to execute and process incoming client requests, and a communications application configured to transmit and receive communications. The client infrastructure includes a runtime engine that acts as an operating system for the client infrastructure and is configured to manage communications with the server infrastructure, a plurality of applications that provide functionalities to the client infrastructure, and a shell configured to control the runtime engine and to manage the user interface of the client infrastructure.

Abstract:

A networked database is provided that contains a plurality of records having lists of digital music files for listeners along with relational data containing reviews and comments submitted by other individuals previously selected by the user. Furthermore, each of the previously selected individuals may have another plurality of additional individuals which they have selected that may review and comment on the listener's music files. Each individual in the relationship chain has the ability to view, review and comment on any digital music file which is visible throughout the related chain of individuals as determined by the relational database. Furthermore, when the listener plays a digital file on a mobile device, the relational networked information is available to the listener, including but not limited to, reviews and comments submitted by each individual as well as a visual representation of the submitter which may be a photograph, icon or other graphical symbol and a cumulative rating submitted by distinct groups of individuals.

Abstract:

A threading device which can cut a uniform and symmetrical screw thread in the outer surface of a round bar or tube includes a die nut having internal cutting threads and two axial holes and a guide ring which includes two axial roll pins extending away from a rear face thereof and which are capable of extending into the axial holes in the die nut without play to align the axis of the guide ring with the axis of the die nut. The guide ring will act to maintain the axis of the die nut coaxial with the axis of a round bar or tube which extends through the bore of the guide ring and contacts the cutting threads in the die nut. The die nut (together with the guide ring) can be manually rotated to cut a screw thread in a round bar or tube by means of a conventional wrench.

Abstract:

A communications platform is provided which can be employed to implement a recognition and reward system that is simple to use, streamlined, and scalable thereby enabling such systems to be seamlessly implemented in many different environments.
